So, uh, why Ahnuhld-12 is so bad?

I know Ahnuhld-12 has a slight range advantage comparing to other shotguns, but for some reason it also has the second lowest DPS among all primaries AND secondaries! *not counting BARs, obviously

If you want Ahnuhld to be viable, at least increase it’s ROF, because for now you would be better off using a secondary instead (even Tolen MP with slightly less DPS is more reliable and easier to use).

The class itself is fun and I don’t regret buying it, but after few days of playing, I’m giving it a break until I get a card not having a bloody winchester on it (crafted 5 already, every focking one with Ahnuhld). >:[

Fletcher’s sticky bombs are so strong, you are not supposed to rely on that shotgun to do the main work for you. Both of fletchers weapons are similar in power, and best used to finish off enemy players who got damaged by your stickies.

If he gets a wepaon buff, his sticky will need some serious readjustment, which I don’t like.

I hear you, but since he has cards with other shotguns and Blishlok, having under powered default primary doesn’t balance him too much imo.

both hollunds and blishlok are pretty poor weapons too imo. So its actually quite alright that most of the weapons Fletcher can have are poor, to compensate for super powerful stickies.

Although Blishlok and Hollunds are not top-tier in terms of DPS, they still outperform winchester in about every way possible. Thats a matter of balance between those 3 (and not overall class balance).

But seriously idk, I think it’s suppossd to be a more accurate shotgun that rewards headshots, but I feel like it could use a increased RoF.

The way I see it, here’s how the Shotguns should be

Remburg - Best Damage
Hollunds - Best clip size, maybe fastest reload too
Ahnuld - Best accuracy and rate of fire

Btw, recently I gor a Fletcher card with Hollunds (oh fcuking joy) and it feels amazing comparing to Ahnuhmehmublargh. Mostly because you don’t have to deal with that spinning bullschit every time you reload.

First of I’m not saying that the ahnulhd doesn’t need a buff or isn’t wonky to use.

However only looking at the DPS is shortsighted. Those values/calculations are based on zero distance to the target but accuracy is a very big deal when it comes to shotguns.

Example (data is based on the weapon spreadsheet)

for simplicity let’s compare the (H)ollund and the (A)hnuhld they seem similar enough up front.

(H) deals 88 Point blank to the body.
That means the (H) oneshots Aura, needs 2 shots for anybody else except rhino who needs 3

(A) deals 77 Point blank to the body.
Thats 2 shots for anybody except thunder and rhino

clear advantage (H): but lets step back just a little bit to the point when the hollund can’t oneshot anymore. That point is reached everytime 2 pellets or more miss the target

for that case the Hollund deals 72 Damage which also means you need a third shot for Fragger and Thunder. If the Ahnuhld manages go get 11 pellets into the target in the same position it will out dps the hollund.

ofcourse it depends on the accuracy/damage difference, if the ahnuhld looses one pellet the Hollund reigns supreme again.

I think because of that the ahnuhld just has its operation distance shifted a couple of meters compared to the other shotties. Problem is everyone who loved shotguns in this game so far, associates them with the rushing in your face BAM BAM dead playstyle of Aura and Proxy. But on the other hand Fletcher (and looking at it Rhino) is slower and wants to fight a few meter away anyways because of the sticky splashdamage.

The range difference between winchester and hollund doesn’t feel like much, really. I already mentioned what makes ahluhnd unusable for me and it’s a reload animation.
Apparently, RNG decided to fcuk with me, because I crafted like 10 fletcher cards, all but two of them with fckng ahmuhempieceofshift.

edit: faaaaaaaaaaaaaaak, just crafted the worst gold card in history, with winchester, of course

don’t reload so often, you have two very viable weapons, with stickies; fletcher can keep shooting for a very long time
