So this morning I saw what a team full of Naders can do and it ain't pretty.

Don’t nerf that btw, it’s great for sniping

naders can go primary and take out a Rhino from distance if they can’t seem to aim their grenade launchers.

Rhino is only a concern in CQC or corner popping while having a healing station.

You mean they’ll gravitate to one or two classes only?

I find your post a bit ironic. There is no real “balance” when most of the mercs are behind a paywall. Free weekend is the closest thing to getting a real sense of how things work and where mercs really fit in relation to the whole.[/quote]

I bought all but 3 mercs with in game currency. Boosters are helpful and not exactly expensive, combine that with the double credit weekend and you’ll be really surprised by how much you will earn. I get that people want to play some of the most ‘appealing’ classes, but it actually ruins the balance of the game. Bridge is just Rhino spam and Im talking at least 3 rhinos on a healing station. Bridge being one of my preferred maps, I find it almost impossible to enjoy it whether im on the attacking side with the rhino spam or the defending side going up against it.

But do the devs balance around pubs or competitive? Who do they cater to?!

I said it before and I’m sure some people will agree, SD does the merc rotation wrong. Every player should get access to random mercs not everyone to the same ones. This way you won’t see that many teams running the same merc,s because everyone wants to give them a try for free.

Neither apparently. Just enough towards both to ‘uncater’ to the opposite but not enough to make either side happy.

They should cater for everyone considering everyone, comp or casual put money into the game.

Yeah thats a great idea tbh, only problem I can see is that its just another RNG to get people mad.
