So there is a new hack out there? Shooting through walls?

So I was playing today and I noticed one guy in the enemies team (sadly have no idea who) shot me multiple times through solid objectives. Crates and the bus on last objective at Chapel. So shooting through walls is a thing now?

I shoot through the bus all the time. In fact, it’s one of the best ways to kill people. Many people, even with hours of play under their belt, don’t realize you can shoot through the glass on the bus. Or the glass in the first part of Underground or through the glass near the MG on the first objective in Terminal.

Also, on Chapel, there are gaps between the boxes where almost everyone who takes damage likes to hide. And you can shoot through those too which I do quite often.

So I’d wager you ran into somebody who knew how to take advantage of that instead of somebody actually shooting through walls.

Very few people know you can shoot through the glass on the bus. Very good for getting free headshots as a sniper because they just sit still behind it.

I’m not sure about the crates but you are able to shoot through the windows at the bus.

People were complaining about that last night too…but on my screen they were fully exposed.

Maybe server lag??

So apparently I am an idiot. The Crate I was “shot through” has a small space between itself and the wall. I was killed through that small space.

Yeah I think I know the one. Near the garage entry near the end of the EV escort?

No, after you escort the EV you have 2 paths for delivering the objective. one left down the stairs to the ammo crate, one on the right through the tunnel with a room on the left. The crates are in the little tunnel. Sadly wasn’t able to make screens, Steam overlay is buggy atm.

Dunno if all glass (like the bit of glass near the bridge in terminal stage 1) is permeable to lasers though (from the REVIVR).

Reviver doesn’t go through glass.

The Revivr and explosives won’t go through glass that isn’t a destructible entity. But bullets do.

Except for the shelf wall thing in the first objective of Underground. All aoe goes through that :frowning:

I’m not sure if it’s merely ping difference and server response, or just that I’ve only recently noticed it, but I’ve noticed I’ve been shot through objects more often than usual lately. I was playing Terminal and was hiding from a sniper behind a support beam near the turret at the first objective, and he just shot the thing and I died, the “killcam” showed the shot traveling directly through the thing. I’ve also been shot through corners on most maps and the desks at the first part of underground.
I really hope it’s just ping or killcam nonsense though, because sometimes it doesn’t feel that way.
