So, making a challenge for playing a competitive round doesn’t seem so bad, right? maybe encourage players to branch out into the other modes of play. The problem is that people who don’t want to play competitive, like me, either because of the stress of ranking or the general lack of fun, are now forced to do a match if they want to complete their challenges and get their credits.
So, the competitive match challenge is an actual terrible decision.
I agree
there should be other ways than missions to encourage people to play competitive
like a slightly better credit gain, or an increased case drop rate for example
Or do what a lot of others do and just dump the mission. Sure, you miss out on the 500 credits, but the missions refresh so quickly that I havn’t found it too much of an issue. I still get an easy 5k of credits on days that I play. I time it so that I start my missions an hour before they expire so I can do 2 rounds of missions and get my daily bonuses each time.
Im not playing comp mode until they fix match making and put in better hacking control.
i think it’s a slap in the face that they remove all the missions to win in objective or stopwatch and then add a mission to win in competitive
right now i’m just cancelling them as soon as i get them
it’s not like competitive is a different game mode , its just stopwatch were you get stomped by organised teams
I agree. I do not understand how they thought this was a good idea after removing it from normal servers. Like, the reasoning was that it was counter-intuitive for team balance but competitive is the epitome of unbalanced because of teamstacking which makes people rage quit instantly.
I am currently unranked. I just got one of those missions and in the first game my team gave up and we literally got spawn camped cuz of that, in the second game I got matched with 3 players with Cobalt badges, while I am unranked, and my team were only players under level 8. I was like “Is this shit for real”. I barely managed to carry my team by delivering the 2nd objective in the last second of the game SOMEHOW, and then we SOMEHOW managed to hold up against them after they delivered the first one.
In the end we won, but these missions are disgusting because I personally hate ranked.
Oh quit whining already. I don’t want to play objective either, yet there are missions for it - always have been. Delete it, do your other 2 missions and carry on. No one forces you to do anything.
First off, doing Objective missions and Comp missions are completely different. Casual and Comp have completely different atmospheres and some players don’t want to be a part of that community, but they are being forced to if they want to complete their challenges, otherwise it’s a waste of potential credits.

And I don’t want to be part of the “Casual atmosphere”. What’s your point? It’s a 2-way street.
Don’t want to play competitive? Don’t play it. I delete any and all Objective gamemode related missions ever since the introduction of… missions, you don’t see me or anyone else crying about those. It’s the exact same thing, no matter how you twist and turn it.

I suppose that is quite true. It is for sure a two way street. I guess the majority of the community is casual (as can be expected) which is why it’s a bigger problem for them. I do like your point though, it is accurate.

I rather like getting credits, considering that mission alone is worth 2-3 full games, and I’m trying to buy all the mercs. Also, they were just recently added in the fine tuning update.
I suffer from the other problem and have to decline all objective mode missions since now my clan only plays comp, I am happy with the current proportions if I have to turn down a few missions im in this game for the long run and turning a few missions down each evening does no harm at all.
