So that's it?

Well. I guess it is time to kiss brink goodbye. I tried. Bought it day one. Waited for fixes, updates. And a dlc that took ages.
Knowing that BF3 and MW3 are right around the corner, all of u and I both know that the time is near.
But I have questions.
When will we know anymore about this story.
Lets be honest the dlc is no save. Its fail.
If it came out when it was supposed to or they released it with news of another 4 maps at least, maybe, MAYBE brink would stand a chance.
This marks a sad day for me. I feel that the powers that be just threw their hands up and went, “theyll get over it.”
But who is responsible?
Was SD’s hands tied behind their backs due to a lack of funding?
This should not have happened.
It sucks to see a game with such ambition be thrown into happy meals due to a lack of proper execution.

No you fail, if you were expecting the DLC to be some type of savior for Brink, everyone on here knew it was not going to be that, if anything it would of gotten a few more players to come back and play it.

(Hdserialkiller) #3

Um ok. I fail. I let my ip get thrown into the bargain bin. Worse yet a trashcan. Like I said before, I didn’t want this to happen. I would like to see brink survive.
It just looks like maybe bethesda could care less or is it sd? I dont know and don’t pretend to like u probably would.

I guess I’m surprised you expected more from the DLC. I mean if you weren’t really happy with the full game in the first place what exactly did you think the DLC was going to do? Were you expecting campaign / story content beyond the typical Brink intros before the map loads? (*not being critical, just trying to understand)

How touching. Did you think of this all by yourself?

(Jess Alon) #6

Go play Modern Warfare then. If you can’t hack it in Brink don’t be a woman about it.

(Throbblefoot) #7

Try not to equate newbie whining with womanhood, please.

(Kurushi) #8

The game feels loads better for me, I love it.

Yeah that’s not fair to women. Sorry about that.

i love this game, played one match of each map before ihad to get off, played as security both times. EPIC. definetly more complex with more option, LOVED labs being 3 level vertival. i went through 3 different full matches before i gave up and me and my clanmates played in private. AoC FTW.

Not a noob, thats why im asking these questions. When you start something you should know how to finish it.
I want to know where this is going.
Thats what im getting at.
If you read what I wrote at all, you could see
that I’m not a mw fanboy but like or not thats the competition. And like or not this attempt at trying to keep brink relevant is a terrible one.
You can read any of my previous posts and see that I’ve had nothing but support for this game but just like a girlfriend or ahem, woman (which i’m sure you know nothing about) that never gives you what you need there comes a time to move on.
Unless said issues get worked out.
Sd or bethesda or who the hell ever can keep us in the loop, instead of making the story up as they go. And they could do monthly updates like any other game you probably play.
But what I asked was why is it that it seems like they dont care?
The update was more substantial than the dlc.
Thats just retarded. And the reason I know that is because I play the hell out of the game.

(RabidAnubis) #12

Actualy, it has been! It has given brink more life, at least in the short term!

(sereNADE) #13

At least you didn’t pay for the DLC. Cry one more up to “this should have been there at launch”.

How are you going to complain about something that is for free? It’s not like you paid for the dlc. At least. Bethesda and SD are trying to do something about the flaws in there product unlike companies like sega who wouldn’t let obsidian patch alpha protocol(one of the most under rated RPGs of 2010).

I love Brink I’ve been playing since launch 7 characters deep. I m mean really I don’t care about COD around the corner I care about brink. Nuff said. My 2 cents vs the lint in your pocket.

Fanboys swarm in daycare.

Yeah, the game fails on multiple levels,
next time I’ll try-before-I-buy anything from SD.

I’m not a fan of COD or BF, but good luck with that.

Totally agree. I lost a lot of faith in SD after the failure of BRINK’s launch and the shortcomings it still has.

Too bad this was the only shooter I cared about this year; I guess I can switch to RTS games and get into Starcraft or DotA 2 if I want to play games competitively now.

(MrFoxer) #17

I’m perfectly fine with someone hating the game, but going so far as to post a thread expressing your hate, just makes me angry. It’s almost as if you think we’d actually care.
It’s amazing how some people can hate a game and developer with such passion, it’s almost as if it’s personal.

(BomBaKlaK) #18

I dont trust anymore SD to !
The only studio I support since Wolf ET and now they can do whatever they want I really dont care !

they just screw up !

no linux server / no cvar unlock / no crosshair cutom and objective balance suck so much !!!
I really think the SD experience give us a good game but that’s just a massive failure !!

well played !

RIP BRINK !

I was told there would be punch and pie.
