so quiet..

It’s been kinda quiet…is brink getting an update soon? Weapons tweaks or unlock some cvars?

Read the Rahdo’s words thread: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php/29598-Rahdo-s-words-what-happened-here
Somewhere in there it’s intimated that everything is currently up to Bethesda and nothing is being worked on at the moment.
As usual a pall of silence has descended over the land of forumia in regards to anything official.
But you can now download all the pre-order dlc (in packs specially designed to make preorder people pay twice to collect all the sets) so I’m sure Bethesda aren’t squeezing as much cash out of us before dropping a smoke bomb and pulling a ninja-log-disappearance trick.

There is this Recycling map where resistance have to contaminate the founders water supply, but i have no idea if this is being worked on or they dropped it.

(zenstar) #4

Poison their water supply? I heard they had to sort the tin cans from the plastics because some jerk is always mixing them up by dropping his cola can in with the milk containers and the cans break the blades that shred the plastics.

Noone likes that guy shakes fist

Could care less about new maps, clothes or abilities. Just wondering when we’ll get the new weapon tweaks (more accurate guns).

(Smooth) #6

The weapon changes are still a few weeks away as it requires a full patch rather than netvar tweaks.

There’s around 1,500 different values that define accuracy for all of our weapons, so we couldn’t put them netvars like we did for damage and rate-of-fire.

They already found a bug when they raised the dmg on the Gerund (I think) and it became a death ray. Testing 123.

I’d say we’re probably still another week, if not two weeks, away from seeing anything on our end.

(gooey79) #12

You were so getting +Rep if that was a Weekend at Bernie’s clip. Sadly, it wasn’t…

Good to hear. Do you guys plan to unlock any cvars? There was a thread earlier which had a list but I cant find it :frowning:

(wolfnemesis75) #16

1,500 different values is enough to send you to the looney bin in no time. Yikes! Wish I got to try the Rhett deathray!

Glad to see the game is still being supported.
