so new to the game and well...

(primeSurfer) #1

so im new here and i like what i see so far well most of what i see anyway. ive played a few games won some lost some been completely spawn owned which is stupid imo 2 matches and was spawn killed every time rediculas.

ive no idea if this game has cheats for it or if it has any kind if anti cheat,im also thinking that there is no matchmaking also. i play casually and use the casual mode thought it would be the best idea but no it seems that its just full of camping people just being to put it nicely assholes!!!

that said i like the movement and the gun play even if it dose feel a little strange sometimes (disconnected)
also the gun play sees odd but then i mainly play games like battlefield.

i like the maps they seem fresh and not to cramped, guns seem well developed and im looking at what the game will become more than what it is atm.

i would hope if match making is in the game then it needs some development to keep higher ranked players away from new players as there seems like a big jump in skill at rank 10 to rank 5 so maybe make the 0-5 rank a only those ranks just to give new players a fighting chance with the lerning curve of dirty bomb might be enough to stop players being pushed away before they have a chance to enjoy the game

there is ranked MM , There are also a few max rank 6 servers for newer players.

(primeSurfer) #3

then it needs adjusting then i got owned by much higher lvls than myself(att i was lvl1)

as i put in the post that to a lot of games i play with would be more than put off big time

i also respect its just a BETA but i would hope they will address it b4 release

(mOist) #4

Like i said there’s some max rank 6 servers, rank 7(required for competative ranked mm) takes about 20-30 hours to gain so everyone in the max rank 6 rooms will be of somewhat simaller experience and skill.

(Humbug) #5

yes join the maximum level 6 servers.
The game has a really huge skillgap potential and learning curve, so don’t give up too early
Most people in this CLOSED beta play this game (and other splash damage games) for ages

(primeSurfer) #6

ahhh didn’t know there were such servers just been using the quick play will try them thanks dude

(primeSurfer) #7

sorry dude didnt see the last bit

(mOist) #8

@primeSurfer
np there easy to miss unless ofc you know they’re there and your looking for them.

(DomMafia) #9

I think he brings up a good point though. New players are using “quick play” more often than not, so the game should do its best to put them in “ranked 6 and lower servers” by default.

I understand it’s going to be hard to get matchmaking/quickplay to function properly until open beta introduces a lot more players.

(DadoPeja) #10

Yep players from 1-6 lvl that are using quickplay should be first put in Max 6 lvl servers and then in others if max 6 lvl servers are full ! So noobs can play with noobs :stuck_out_tongue: @MissMurder

(mOist) #11

People should really avoid quickplay too as it dosnt seem to prioritise connection, i constantly get put in US rooms

(Zenity) #12

It does prioritise connection, but will choose another region if your best one is not available (which seems wrong, considering that you can choose regions with the checkboxes). Quick play is pretty decent in that it gets you into the first best server, it’s just that first best server can be not so great right now. A queue would fix this, but I don’t think quick play will need a queue since once there are enough players, you should be able to always find a reasonable game instantly.

Anyway, it’s never going to be perfect with few players, so we always have to keep this in mind. Ranked matchmaking will be the important one to get more balanced matches, and it should take a lot of heat off the casual servers. But ranked matchmaking will require a lot more people (and working ranks/stats of course) before it can really have an impact.
