As a big fan of Splash Damage (played tons of Wolf, Quake Wars and Brink!), I’d really like to see a fresh SD game. I liked Dirty Bomb at first but the last couple of patches transformed the game into a different game than what I like to play (fast-paced arcade class based shooters, which DB did well until a couple of patches ago). Anyway, it seems with “seasons” and the focus on comp play, does Splash Damage even have any plans to “move on” from this game already? No offense intended to those who enjoy slower games like DB, but SD has been at it for several years now and at this point have pretty much had two different games, both titled DB.
Anyone know if Splash Damage is going to move on to a new project anytime soon?
It’s a real shame if they are just going to be doing Dirty Bomb for the next couple of years, when they are one of the few developers that know how to make a good, fast paced, arcade fps, and it’s a real shame if they choose to stick to DB instead of making a game in the style they do best.
