So, how could we make the Timik and M4 differ from each other?

Let’s be honest, at this point they’re essentially the same damn gun.

I think honestly a good route we could try, is having the Timik stay where it is, maybe change the firing interval to 110 exactly.

Then change the M4 to have a faster RoF with less damage. I was thinking something like 80 ms firing interval and 12 damage.

From there we could change things like Range, Reload time, clip size, etc. I would think the M4 should have less range and less bloom, while the Timik has more bloom but more range as well, so the M4 is more spray happy, while the Timik is more of a tapfire weapon.

From there you can buff the accuracy as needed till both guns are fairly consistent just with differing values for damage.

…I’d like the M4 to stay exactly the way it is, tired of so many weapons I like seeing radical changes. They just really need to stop making the Timik more and more like the M4, I’d like to see them remove all those accuracy buffs (or at least some of them, maybe keep recoil but take away reduced spread or vice versa), but give it 15 damage up from 14 which would be a breaking point to need 1 less bullet to kill many mercs, giving it raw power in exchange for being hard to control.

Thing is I find it easier to control and be more consistent with than the M4. It has more recoil but that makes it way easier to predict where it’s going to go.

A damage buff like that would pretty much make the M4 the worse of the two.

I don’t want to see the M4 changes because it’s heavily loved and heavily used. I’d rather see the Timik change since it’s not as loved or used and it would be easier to differentiate it without upsetting half the people in DB by changing a perfectly good and balanced weapon.

I would like to see the Timik become the K121 of the AR world by having it fire more slowly but do more damage. Include more recoil to control but make it predictable so that it’s a high skill cap weapon but one that can be mastered and make it as good as the M4 and possibly better depending on the situation.

See that would be nice but the M4 is already pretty damaging as it is, the Timik would need a severe rof nerf to be on that level. I think if anything we could go the route I proposed for the M4, but do it for the Timik.

Idk, I just can’t see the RoF getting as slow as 160 ms per shot. That’s insanely slow :\

Nerf RoF and buff damage for Timik, don’t touch M4. This discussion has been multiple times before, and I think most people agree with the powerful gun philosophy of the AK.

I also think reducing the M4’s damage by 1 wouldn’t hurt.

I think everyone would want the Timik to act more like the AK. The M4 is fine as is.
