so do you think proxy will get a new eye in the future?

(enigmaplatypus) #1

so i know that proxy lost an eye by aimee for killing max bashki. do you think/want her to get a new eye after some time (like an implant or a fake one). maybe like have one of the medics patch her up?

(Cuck) #2

maybe… in a form of trinket

that would be really funny.

(ElDingDong) #3

I honestly appreciate this sort of progression. I hope we can have similar events and scenarios, which change the physical looks of other mercs.
I just like how one mercs physical appearance can change over time rather than staying the same for years. It is as if we have a personal connection with them, and that they react to the world around them.

I also sound really high.

(PastrySama) #4

It’s gonna take more than nanomachines, son.

(Occult) #5

shes also got some nasty sacrs or a rash goin on aswell

(ElDingDong) #6

^Those will heal up.
But I really dig that ReV insignia on her neck.

One thing i noticed it’s part of the text about proxy’s eye in the new update info
Proxy’s eye has been SNITCH-cooked, and the injury isn’t just restricted to these cards. Her new handicap will be reflected on all Loadout cards, past and future, until she can find some help from an expert in the art of biomedical engineering…and who knows how long that could take?
This could be a possible spoiler for turtle? (for the record, turtle made the phoenix leg)

Link for the patch its here: http://dirtybomb.nexon.net/news/10730/unlock-and-load-update

(grandioseCutlet) #8

I hope she doesn’t, because then we wouldn’t really see the difference and we would forget the whole story. The eyepatch is cool and these details create real links between the mercs, the storyline was great and the eyepatch is kind of the reminder of it.

When you’ll be 80 years old and your grandchildren play Dirty Bomb 6 and they ask you why Proxy has an eyepatch, you’ll know what to answer.

Edit: RIP the dream Turtle will make her a new one. But I hope it’s a different color or something like that.

(Occult) #9

im sure turtle could build her a eye, but it might cost her an arm and a leg

Is there really any doubt?

(KattiValk) #11

So what’s the explanation for her injuries on the Obsidian? The comic just shows she got hit in the shoulder and blinded.

(XavienX) #12

I hope Proxy loses her other eye.

Is there a difference between those 2? I’m confused.

(LifeupOmega) #13

She’ll get a complete body overhaul and become the first true cyborg merc we have, and her eye will be replaced by Coalsplitter, casting a harsh red glare on the world that wronged her.

(SaulWolfden) #14

Turtle made himself an arm and Phoenix a leg, an eye should be easy.

(Grave_Knight) #15

How so? And the eye is completely different than an arm or leg.

EDIT: I really should pay more attention.

Given what cybernetics we’ve seen so far aren’t far off from say Human Revolution augments, it would be no surprise that Turtle would know how to make one, I don’t think they’d tease that bit of info if he didn’t know.

Yes, but the point of the matter is that the eye isn’t easy compared to arms and legs, both of which are things which we are just starting to learn how to make. Both of which also fall into their own fields (which pretty much confirms Turtle as a polymath of cybernetics). So saying building an eye is easy is to underestimate the difficulty of such a sensitive sensory organ.

That being said, considering the technology level of DB, it’ll be weird of her eye is just an eye and isn’t capable of seeing different spectrum of light. I doubt they’d give her any additional abilities, but how funny would it be if she got a weaker version of Red Eye’s IR Goggles. Doesn’t mark enemies but does detect and highlight them…

(TheGreatHoundini) #18

I like the idea of the Culprit and Culprit Obsidian reflecting the changes… but I disagree with the idea that all her cards now reflect this version.

It reduces the “Event Exclusivity” of the Culprit Cards. It should be that only the Culprit versions look like that.

maybe he would make a fake eye (purely cosmetic)? turtle and phoenix could have a collaborated effort. or maybe a new medic will make one eventually?

(Dawnlazy) #20

Coming up next event, the story behind Phoenix’s leg.
