So, am I the only who doesn't enjoy Counter Strike?

It’s not a bad game, but the playstyle of it, it’s just not as fun.

The stop and shoot mechanics of it just aren’t fun, but the recoil patterns I don’t mind too much. I also feel like the ttk leaves little time to react, so it becomes a game of chess rather than actual aim.

Maybe it’s just me who feels like this, idk

I was addicted to CS 1.6 'cause I couldn’t run any other game on my pc. I bought a new one and said goodbye to 1.6.

When Valve released CS:GO, I was so excited. I bought it the first day it was released.

Time played: 37 minutes.

It’s always the same. Buy, Move, Camp, Kill, Die, Plant, Defuse.

I understood it on CS 1.6, 'cause it was an OLD game. Valve just took 1.6 and put it on a better graphic engine.

CS is too slow for me. I lose my focus way too fast when i play it. I am not good at cornercrouching somewhere and waiting for the opponents to finally arrive. Just not my thing.

That! Thats why i moved to ET instead and loved it til i think 2012 it really died out. Never played Comp FPS again, just some Payday and so, but now i can finally some good old Rushes on DB. And yeah never ever played QW, my com was too bad at the time and i stayed with ET.

I never understood the appeal of CS. I find it quite boring and have since it was just a HL mod.

(Ghosthree3) #8

Nope. Dreadful game, no movement, huge recoil, huge spread and the gameplay is slow as fuck. It’s like the complete opposite of this game and Quake. Quite possibly my least favourite FPS of all time.

Dunno about CS:GO, but in a previous version of CS, I had a hard time telling friend or foe apart. They looked so similar. So I team killed quite a lot. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also the game is very repetitive and I don’t like that you have to buy stuff just about every round.

(Ghosthree3) #10

Yeah the fact that it’s pretty much the exact same game every round is pretty lame. When you consider that 90% of games you play are going to be on dust2.

(mrlong2) #11

from someone coming from CoD, the gameplay is terrible.

(watsyurdeal) #12

Well to be fair, CoD isn’t much better. Too easy to pick it up and start wrecking people, and too shallow to have any depth.

Counter Strike is much slower and Tactical, which is arguably the best in it’s genre, but it’s got nothing on games like Dirty Bomb, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, or TF2. At least, what TF2 used to be like back in the day.
