So, after over 100 hours of gameplay heres what i think about merc/weapon balance.

Skyhammers nade should be a flare with thick team colored smoke going up because it’s rather hard to spot that pixel wide line on the ground and if you do it’s usually too late to hide.

Proxy is relatively easy to kill at range and deadly in close combat which is as it should be. Sure I hate her shotguns (mostly because I’m terrible with them) but if she is at close range then that’s where she’s supposed to excel and what any non-cqb merc should avoid. If she an use her mines offensively that means she’s already in your face but you have a better position (either got some cover or healing station deployed or both) and it’s supposed to force you to move (aside from Fragger she’s the only one that can force someone to leave their spot tho at much greater risk). Arming time is fine, I’d even say its a bit too long because atm if someone is chasing you placing a mine does nothing, he will just run over it because it wont be armed yet.

Aura’s healing station should simply have way less hp (30-40?), it should go down in 3 shots max or 1 quick stab. This would decrease the deploying frequency (can’t shorten the cooldown by recovering it) and overall make it easier to deal with while maintaining Aura’s role as the “hold the line” medic.

Fragger’s nades are simply silly, high speed takes away the range penalty that cooking creates in most games which means there is no reason not to cook. Target is on the other side of the building? Let’s cook it because it will get there anyway. His mg could use a bit more recoil too.

Nail they didnt buy a game 10 years ago or however far back in pre history it was- it was a support package that wasnt advertised and was just this tiny deal for those fanboi’s of splash.

This is on steam now. For cash money. I think it therefore it would be fair to regarded it as a somewhat wider release.

Fyi Im not baffled by you - you are just an idiot apologist for a game with broken elements. Yo uwould rather shut down any “negative” discussion and just remain full of fairy dust and wishful thinking that any issues (what issues right???) get solved if no one actual says anything. If no one contributes to an open an honest discussion of what in their opinion might be wrong with the game.

If ur not part of the solution you are part of the problem so get out of the way.

To be honest this is not longer a case of “I like the idea so I’m going to get a founders pack” or “Pay to gain beta access” (which is a bit silly but that’s what we’ve come to).

“Micro” (6 or 10 euro is NOT micro imo) transactions are in the game and that’s the moment when you can no longer completely hide behind “it’s beta”.

combined with keys sent by mail every thursday and they do give multiple giveaways on Twitch / Twitter. It’s really if you want to truely be part of Closed Beta or whether you want to wait untill it goes F2p.

But: we all know how popular “early access” is on steam right now and hop popular those who try to deflect any and all criticism or suggestions for improvement with the old “but its still in early access guys” chestnut

That means when there are issues. issues the community points out wanting to be addressed then those issues need to be addressed.

Now no one is expecting “immediate” fixes in game tomorrow. but it might be reasonable at least to get an acknowledgement that there is listening going on and there are fixes (and what the proposed fixes will entail) on the way or planned - and i dont mean in some vague “it will happen when it happens down the tracks someday” plan.

this thing is in the steam wilds now and every day will mean people clamoring to get in (people are even paying money now) but as time goes on that hype will be harder to maintain if dissatisfaction with what is most important to FPS players - game mechanics - remain in a shoddy state and unaddressed.

Wait, Vasili can 1 shot aura with FEL IX? is there a condition? like distance wise? because i only 1 shot her from time to time. I also think Vasili is one of the weaker merc at this moment. He’s slow, squishy and the scope is too weird to use from far away, i think they should allow the scope to be zoom in farther.

He’s a beast in the right hands. One of the best implemented snipers I’ve ever seen in an FPS IMHO (after Action Quake 2 :)). A true combat sniper, not a sitting duck sniper.

Well, what do you mean by combat sniper? like running around and snipe people like in COD? because that is rather bad against proxy or any merc with decent mid range weapons. And if i sit back, Arty or skyhammer destroyed me form afar with their AR.

AQ2 sniping was pretty good. And back then I could actually shoot!

The only thing that bothers me is one shot kills with shotguns, but I guess I’ll get used to it :stuck_out_tongue:

I just want to be able to adjust the zoom of sniper scope to be farther than default.

Just move around a lot, be unpredictable and use your game sense. Since you can shoot while jumping, and quick scoping is really easy, etc, you have a lot of mobility, no reason not to make use of it. Not to mention a rather powerful backup SMG. And of course use the heartbeat sensor to your advantage.

I’ve only tried the sniper for a short while, but I was pleasantly surprised at how effective it is (I didn’t expect that because of the speed of the game, and because the sniper was fairly trashy in ET). And recently I keep seeing a lot of snipers on the servers, some of which make me want to rage quit.
