I actually really don’t like extended open beta periods for games, it just becomes a soft launch. Seems we’re in the era of “early access” for now, though, and in the case of Dirty Bomb I’d rather be able to play it as it is now than to have had to wait until full release.

open beta is just the new word for released. SD is just being honest about it instead of going the other route where you call it a finished product and 1.5 year later you still are in beta. yes, im looking at you battlefield 4. :wink:

Seems to be the case more and more, if they are letting you buy things for real money in a f2p open beta then you are in release.

Open beta is just an excuse for anything that isn’t fixed / added yet. As long as the game is playable, I don’t mind that much.

Just hoping they add maps and game modes (Execution!!) real soon. The game needs it, more than new mercs.
