So does anyone know a way to improve my sniping a lot? I’m trying to get better and I like to know what game setting Si should have and what do I do to get better? I’m currently using a razer death adder but I’m guessing that has nothing to do with sniping maybe
but I’m hoping if anyone can help me out
Sniping XC
you need to land headshots other than bodyshots. take bodyshots when needed. since you need headshots, you automatically put your scope crosshair on head level. it’s like crosshair placement in CS:GO. use your abilities frequently, with that you can help your team too other than killing. camp where you think where the choke points might be. you also need lower sensitivity and a lower DPI on your mouse. don’t forget to set the polling rate of your mouse to the maximum. but, as always have fun.
I’ve recently found out that strafe aiming while scoped in is really effective.
Yes, strafe aiming.
No, I’m not kidding.

You my friend are legend if you dare to strafe
I found putting my sensitvity to around 32cm/360 made it alot easier to aim. Currently using 1000 dpi and 5.5 ingame sensitivity. After you’ve got your settings adjusted to your preference you need practice so that you can gain muscle memory. This’ll allow you to pull off flick shots reliably.

It’s what this man uses.

the mouse isnt the key. Its muscle memory, there is no magic trick to snipe people. Its like everything = P.R.A.C.T.I.C.E.
Well since they removed sway corner peaking is a viable tactic again. So I would learn how to use that technique to land consistent headshots while staying in cover.

I’m pretty sure I can play better on a zowie za12 than on something like this
you need to know the dpi and set the sensitivity to the way you can get consistent with and get comfortable

Im pretty sure the change is minimal. In term of aim.
@saltyCruller Hi there salty. You might wanna select 1 of the 3 snipers available to you first.
So I’d recommend using Vasilli over Aimee or Redeye for now. Not saying that he’s weaker than the rest but he’s more of a safer choice as compared to the other 2.
-Decent hp
-Machine pistols
-You have access to the MOA, PDP and FELIX
-Great ability to keep you alive
Its common for me to get 2.0 kdr and if its an intense match with good teams, i’ll probably do better because they won’t be too focused on me.
First, you’ll have to lower your mouse sensitivity, I use 6.1 ingame. So that you won’t adjust or drag too much when searching for a shot.
Second, aim for headshots and not bodyshots 80% of the time. This is very crucial to your success as a sniper in DirtyBomb. You need to force yourself to adjust your aim to the head and not take an easier shot to the body.
Third, before you scope in, move your screen over to the oppoennt first, where you know the crosshair will be either on the opponent or close to him. (This is when you’re unscoped)
Fourth, throw out your heartbeat sensor and prepare for headshots past the wall that you’re marking on, give yourself some leeway because the mercs move at different speeds, you might not be able to be so accurate if you place your crosshair just next to the wall line. Maybe 2 heads distance.
Fifth, practice how to half-step (I don’t know what other people call it), which is to strafe out of cover and take a shot, then move back, rinse and repeat. The better you are at this skill, the safer you’ll be against opponents.
Sixth, shit gets serious when you’re fighting against an enemy sniper who’s already on your position. Do not keep Half-stepping at the same damn wall (this is a very common mistake and I usually make them pay for it when its a sniper duel.) Move to a new position so that you have the element of surprise when HE half-steps in and out of HIS own wall.
Seventh, be brave and play an aggressive sniper once you know that you’re decent with the sniper. Majority of the pubs won’t expect an aggressive sniper and that’s when you get the element of surprise and make your mark as a complete sniper.
Additional tip. When fighting against players who jump, aim for the mid-air shot, don’t wait for them to land if you can. Remember to make full use of your pistols.
Oh and welcome to the Sniper Squad.
A complete sniper is one who can sit back and pick kills yet is also able to hunt and play aggressively.
Here’s proof, pardon the low level opponents, it’s rather hard to join or even find a maxed min 10/20 server. There’s one where I fought high levels as well.
