Sniper rifle overpowered

Let’s all switch to sniper, what is the point in playing anything else if sniper KILLS IN ONE SHOT

Let’s all play counterstrike

Actually they only do on headshots.

You may just be an easy target. Try to move more erratically.

The strongest sniper (alternative loadouts) also 1 hit aura on close range. Both bolt action are indeed very powerful but the weapon rate of fire is rather slow. To me, these are indeed powerful, but quite demanding to be really efficient and can be countered easily.

Personally I’m more worried by the psg-1 look alike one. Well handled it is a fearsome weapon that can deal A LOT of damage to the enemy team due to its semi-automatic design. Probably the best one to help your teammates sweeping an area. Moreover I do think it is able to 1 hit both proxy and aura on headshot.

What the above two said, at the moment Vasili id the only recon, and is the frailest, relying on that high damage rifle.

I’m a hardcore sniper, so I can say. That yes, while it’s nice that I can one shot Aura’s with my FEL-IX, Aura’s can also insta revive allies and have a healing station that mass AoE heals everyone. Not to mention headshots in a game that is this fast paced are kinda hard to land. Also, the game isn’t about kills, it’s about objectives, and there are ways to stop yourself from getting sniped. Like moving differently and stuff. Get into close quarters and 9/10 times that sniper is going to die.

People actually need to learn how to use wall-jumps properly, there are certain angles you want to hold as sniper for the sake of safety and vision, but wall-jumping through these paths make it REALLY hard to shoot HS every time.

I think that the snipers are pretty balanced right now, I have tested every sniper and I think that they are in a pretty good place as far as damage output goes. The MOA could use either a slight fire rate buff or damage buff in my opinion because it seems inferior to the FEL-IX.

(syku) #9

It already fires faster than the FEL-IX and does 5 less damage, if you buffed the damage then there would be no point in using the FEL-IX because it would fire slower and do the same damage, as it is right now theres only one reason to use the FEL-IX and that is because it can one shot auras( and thunder when he gets put into the game).

We call him Vaseline. Why? Well it’s rude not to lube you up before violating you.

Thanks for doing the testing for that, I did not know the exact damage trade off. The MOA and the FELIX are still so similar that I dont think it makes much of a difference which one you use. I wonder if they could somehow make the MOA balanced right in the middle of the auto sniper and the FELIX.
