It’s okay. You’re just special.
Smooth SMART?
The smoothness is mostly camera based and im sure there to give a sense of climbing and not levitating.
As far as speed goes, you may consider Body Type.
Also, realistically I know everyone wants to go mad crazy with SMART, but SMART may be worse than Bunny Hoppers. Speed adjustments and stamina < is there stamina? > would be a balance issue, and for those who’ve played Splash Damage games before, know balance is often a main goal for them.
Smart looks pretty smooth and awesome to me in this vid: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/pax-10-brink/705431 I especially like when the medic crawls forward on the ground.
I also just want to emphasize here as other have done. This is a medium body type being played. Remember, there is a faster, lighter body type, and then additional XP enhancements. I suspect that the light body maxed out with “enhancements” will move smoothly and quickly, even with SMART. With a skilled player on a mouse and keyboard, people will probably be crying “unbalanced” he will be so fast and smooth.
Now, as regards marketing, SD and Bethesda must be VERY careful not to mislead everyone into thinking that you just leap and fly around the environment. That is just one aspect of the game supported by 1/3 of the body types. At this point, it is better to undersell the game than oversell it and risk the disappointed gamer backlash. In good time, they can release the hounds and flaunt their stuff.

So true. Not everyone is light and can jump 15 feet up to climb. Its smart (no pun intended) to make everyone starts as medium so you have a bit of everything.
There won’t be a stamina bar. However, you do need timing and momentum for the more impressive parkour moves.
