smoke, light, etc.

It seems that light, smoke, air and arty deberis/smoke, sound, is going through my walls, floors, and terrain.

has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it?

for smoke I think that all you can do is reduce the end_size until it is small enough to no go through your walls.
For sound, go in the speaker editor to fix it

you have to remember that these games dont have the laws of physics build in, they have a simple solution to try give the ilusion of reality. so smoke can pass through walls as it is not affected by and clips

i understand that but i have seen maps where the smoke does not go through. that is why i ask.

what maps are these i ask… from the side of the smoke it doesnt apear that the smoke goes through

its often unlikely that celings will be so low that smoke will pass through them and walls will be so thin

as a mapper it is your job to desighn the map to aviod situations like this
