I was looking for a way to use that argument for some time now. Hand-eye coordination isn’t a feature, it’s a necessary evil right now. Once a superior alternative arises it becomes a trivial skillset, a useless gimmick to give gamers another hurdle to hide their true potential.[/QUOTE]
Shooting a gun is typically about hand/eye coordination, a shooter game is typically about hand/eye coordination… so in real life is shooting a gun a gimmick and a trivial skillset to shooting a gun? Adding artificial depth to your theories to give the impression of ‘thought provoking’ seems like a gimmick.

Until we can learn to levitate using visceral control over our own diamagnetic field, running is just a gimmick in races.

I can go with that to some extend, but you’d be an utter fool to think that shooting a real gun in any way compares to clicking with a mouse.

Running tracks is a funny thing. First the handicapped, those without legs or feed had their own race because it wasn’t fair for them. Now the new technology allows them to run faster than normal runners so they still need their separate competitions. But don’t consider this part of any argument.

Going by that post alone, I can safely assume you have no idea what a gimmick is.

(tokamak) #224

If you say so.

I’m gonna call it.
