SLI configuration

(Instant_Soldier) #1

My understnading is that Brink will run SLI. The problem is that it isn’t working for me. I’ve created a profile actuated by brink.exe. I’ve tried AFR 1 and 2 and the best I get is very choppy play.

I’m running Win764U, and 2 GTX 480’s and 270.61.

Will someone be so kind as to tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Download Nvidia Inspector and import this profile and apply the changes. Should be good to go then.

Thank you, asus.

EVGA has a SLI enhancement patch for Brink, Version 39 (05.10.11)

Yes, they do , but unfortunately I have ASUS cards. EVGA for sure next trip.

FYI guys, I tried the EVGA enhancement and it worked.

(Nail) #7

what framerate are you getting now ?

(Instant_Soldier) #8

60+, matches my refresh at the very least. The game is VERY playable now, no code 8’s after almost 2-hours online. Both GPU’s hover at ~95% load @43c.

Check the PhysX processor setting on the Set SLI and PhysX configuration page and see if it’s on Auto or GPU, should be Auto

(Instant_Soldier) #10

It is. Why AUTO? Is there a benefit to this setting?

(Nail) #11

on the nVidia blog I was reading, it mentioned that updating 4xx drivers could sometimes change settings and that it should be Auto not GPU

(Instant_Soldier) #12

That’s not something I’ve experienced, at least not yet. I’ve ran with CPU for extended periods to avoid altering GPU scaling and games seem to run just fine anyway.
