Regardless, it should appear when they have less than one mag left in reserve (would be kind of odd for Fragger’s HK, but it would help a lot).

Those icons do indeed appear, I believe they are triggered by quickchatting for ammo and are visible to all fire supports on the team.

There is a low ammo indicator… But it shows only when u have a few shots and thats to late.

Yes there are many noobish Skyhammers, probably because he has an M4, like there are many noobish Auras, because she has a shotgun. Both also are starter-mercs… you get it? 
But to be honest, same problem as always imo, mostly people complaining not even playing the class.
First of, there is an indicator over your head, when you have used “v22”. In my own experience playing him, people simply don’t use the quickchat, so a Skyhammer doesn’t see when someone needs ammo.
Second you got a cooldown on the packs, so jumping in front of a good Skyhammer doesn’t help either.
But can we start flamewars for the classes, people have to been playing a bit, to get them, please?
I will start with all those noobish Naders, Fraggers, Fletchers, Proxies (and Skyhammers 
) not grenning/gren-mining the generator on Bridge, and all the rest of the people flaming for ari or airstrike, instead of shooting the ev driving with 5% health.

I often encounter Skyhammers that refuse to give ammo no matter how much you spam the v22 command. It’s really annoying.

I just straight up hate Skyhammer players. So many of them seem to have improbable aiming skills but can only find the e key when they need ammo and have no interest in defending objectives.

Had it just today, some level 2x telling everyone in voice he needed ammo. Wasn’t to amused after I told him he should do the v22.

Skyhammer is pretty much the bread and butter to all new players, but he is also my bread and butter. He is my main because of his versatility in situations, he is the jack-of-all-trades, and he is a very good merc.
I myself always hand out ammo, well actually I just leave them on the ground for my buddies to pick up when they need it. It’s so I don’t have to worry about someone telling me to give them ammo when there is already one right next to him.
