Skyhammer's and Arty's planes

(sgtCrookyGrin) #1

How much do you think it cost to get entire bomber planes filled with pounds after pounds of explosives wasted on each match? I know these two are mercs but holy shit the amount of money to get your own personal bomber plane to fly in and carpet bomb the area you designated?!?!

I mean look at Kira, she has a giant anus death laser from some shady government shit! Meanwhile everyone gets pissed off at Proxy’s basic little motion mine which should cost little to nothing compared to the equipment the Fire supports bring with them…

I don’t get how much these mercs payed to get their equipment. Skyhammer, Kira, and Arty must cost a shit ton of money for destructive weapons like that…

(Your worst knifemare.) #2

Home made? Excluding kira

(sgtCrookyGrin) #3

Never doubt the ingenuity of these mercs, they invented ammo stations that have unlimited ammo yet weigh almost little to nothing so that could be believable.

Sky is an ex-Fire Support officer so I think he still has “that” access to military drone and bombs. Or presumably some connections too, or maybe Sky paid the military for the bombs using money he earned? or maybe the military allowed Sky to use it since the military has less control than the CDA on fighting against the Jackals?

While Arty is… well, he’s delivering the bomb via manned jet and not a drone so… I dunno, his bio are as vague as it gets anyway

(Dr_Plantboss) #5

I thought Arty’s ability was an artillery strike. An arty strike is fired from the ground, in a arc…

(BlackboltLW) #6

It’s actually some sort of smart bomb

(inscrutableShow) #7

That’s what all the lore says, but you can see a plane dropping a bomb that fragments into the barrage that hits the ground.

Now that I think about it, how much do you think it costs to actually hire a firesupport?

I’m betting well beyond 50K credits or with a micro transaction using your Paypal directly to their wallet with $10…

Maybe their contract includes expenses. So Jackal/CDA pays for the strikes.

That’s an awful lot of money to pay but at the same time they do give good service that the CDA and JACKAL might not be able to do Like unlimited ammo…

So you’re baffled by the artys plane but not by his bombs shape

THEY ARE SPIKY BALLS DAMNIT

Gravity-Powered Steel Balls filled with plastic explosive with detachable spikes and fragmentation for that dank deployable kills.

and remember guys…

skyhammer and Arty cant beat the great America dropping 2.5 million tonnes of bomb in laos.

its a payload every 8 minutes for 9 years.

america doesnt know how to fight a war. instead of making peace with the common folk they decide to kill everyone including civilians.

a war is unwinnable when you cant differentiate between an enemy and the people. its just genocide if it were continued.

My guess is that the people who’re hiring the mercs are the ones are also paying for the bombers and explosives, paying the mercs themselves for their finesse in the fields of marking targets.

I think they’re drones in Arty’s case, I sometimes wonder why it’s not animated to just be a shell coming down from somewhere which would make the logistics more plausible.

Now that I think about it that’s why you don’t get a lot of credits in game, most of it is to pay for the expenses of your equipment…

Contactor companies will usually pay for your gear, but that is usually for the weapon/armour/ammo you want.

However, these would be really high profile jobs, I am sure new tech sold by jackal would more than pay for some bombs and fly time, and the CDA probably has a bunch of government funding so they could do the same.
