Skyhammers Airstrikes and Cover

I know, this was an issue few months ago. You were somewhere with a roof and you still got killed by an airstrike. I haven’t experienced this in a while, but in the last 2 weeks maybe I had some moments where I was standing in a garage or somewhere with a roof with what I believed sufficient distance to the door and still got killed by the blast wave.

I cant really say, that I was 100% enough far away from the opening, but it left me now several times with the feeling that this is not right. Something I didnt have in months, when it comes to airstrikes.

Did anyone have similar experiences?

Maybe something to do with the 10% blast radius perk. shrug

Yep. Last night a group of 3 of us were killed when we were a good 5 metres away from a doorway. It was on the first stage of bridge, attacking side, if you do a hard left push through the building that leads to the EV. A whole bunch of wtf’s were said, because we were not even close to being outside.

I’m actually stumped by how many old bugs that have been fixed over the last 6 months have creeped back into the game since they started doing these summer squash things. It feels like they’ve accidentally reverted to an older version of the game or something, because some of these bugs have been gone for 6 months or more until now.

Pretty much an exact copy of the one that killed me. Same sort of distance, except I was actually right inside the brick building haha.

Big problem for deployables as well. EV delivery point on Chapel is another bad spot.

Yeah so many times as aura i got my health station destroyed by arty strike when it was 4 meters from the open area, i have to pick up every time i hear airstrikes incoming or i see an arty designating a zone

I feel like because of scenarios like this, explody should increase damage rather than radius.

meh, take a look at the moment you get hit 00:08 : you are straight in the open relative to the explosive hitting at the edge of the ‘open’ area.

Yeah…I thought it was just me and not having played for a while, felt like overall every explosive has a improved damage radius except for stickies.

That or a overall sense of lag…

Agreed, legit kill.

You have so low HP that even the slightest wind would wipe your light out. And thats what happend.

and thats pretty much intentional so the stations have a counter and you gotta work a little bit for your precious healing XP.

Old bug that I don’t think will get fixed soon. Fun fact this also works with Kira laser! I saw a proxy try to hide inside a building to escape the desu lazor but I knew if I dragged it by the wall it would kill her…needless to say, she died.

Kira laser is worse, I have been killed several times while I was inside the house with the broken roof in market execution map, no way it could reach me even with 100% blast radius.
