Hey i’m new at making mods/skins for ET so can some one show me a good program for making/editing skins and any other things i need to know/download.

Welcome to the forums.

All you need is a graphics program and a zip-program (I suggest pakscape a very handy little tool).
Also I suggest to unzip the pk3-files of a clean W:ET installation (this will create several subdirectories in the etmain directory).
The playerskins are in “models/players/temperate” subdirectories.

Ehhhh i have no idea what that is i suck at the creating of mods/skins nvm but thanks for the help maybe some one can help me make the skins.

Why bother posting for help, if 2 hours later you couldn’t even be bothered trying to even attempt doing them. Don’t get me wrong i’m not picking on you, as you did thank for the help that was given, but i see these kind of posts often and like yourself a lot of them come back and answer “never mind i’ll get someone to do it for me”, when it’s actually easier then you think.

I come in here almost everyday reading the posts to keep up with whats going on, but never posting myself. I hadn’t a clue how to do any of these things, but took the time to go through loads of posts to learn how to change certain things. In the end after much trial and error i got it right and now run my own few changes on my server.

HoF Cypress if you wish to go check out my server (212.187.208.13:27960) you will see a lot of the changes i made and what can be done by just being a little patient and trying. I did take some of the changes i made from other mod/skin packs and would have credited the original makers, but there was no readmes/credits in the ones i took them from.

If people can’t even be bothered to at least try, why post. With the abundance of info in this forum there is even no need to ask, just spend some time reading, imo thats whats wrong with a load of people, if it’s not handed to them on a silver platter (ie everything they need or want to do it) then forget it.

Could we please get North Africa back to the loading screen, otherwise I might think were figthing underwater when stealing the gold :nag:
