skins question

(nukits) #1

Hi , how can i make my own skins for et , like uniforms and guns ?

you go into pak0, and into the models folder and in their will be all files related too them, such as models, images, etc.

For example, to mod the allied forces go to pak0 > Models > players > temperate > allied

inside are the 5 different classes and some other generic files, and model info.

best way to learn this - dl a skinpack - open it with winrar/winzip or something like this.
look into the folders - and then you see what files are needed
to make complete new skins you can use this
http://www.wolfmap.de/details.php?file_id=2975
then you see how big the areas for the single parts of the models are.

its not so easy to make good skins

there is a pk3 on my site’s download that contains the things you wanna change visually… can’t remember the name of it but look around a bit and you’ll find it

remember to let the pictures have the same name and adress in the pk3

have fun!!

but isn’t it possible that somehow i make skins with GIMP 2?

making a skin is making like any other texture -
1st step know your idea
2nd step look around the net for pictures, or take your own one
3rd step make your skin with th e files you have - many work, but nice
