Hey.I am first time posting here :)Kinda noob at skinning,but i wanted to ask.
How to skin W:ET Main screen.
i mean the screen after intro.plz reply and help the newb out :)xD

You mean the loading picture and the sidebar??
Or the limbo meny?

You will find the loading/sidebar in folder gfx inside the pak0.pk3
The limbo menu will be in limbo folder.

I took the progressbar from gfx>loading, i open it with photoshop then I put some text on it.
After where do i have to save it??? at the same place of the old one??( I try that and wolfenstein come with an error saying that they cant load an official pk3 file or whatever)

ok guys i made a pk3 file named hr_skin.pk3 on it i made> gfx>loading> and i put on it my progressbar tga. when we put it on the server, et is shuting down. what can be the problem?

i had a look at it and well the pk3 seems ok but not the filename xD

the pk3 files are loaded in alphabetic order, therefore if you want to overwrite one file it has to have a greater char than the pk3 that contains the original file.

your file (hr_skin_v0.1.pk3) will be loaded even before the core pk3s (pak0, pak1, …)
i would suggest you rename it to z_hr_skin_v0.1.pk3 and try again :smiley:

edit: did that and on a local server it worked

no,you need to stop and restart the server for ET to register the pak3
