[Skin Related] Change the gloves in first person to reflect equipped skin

Hey all,

Just started playing Dirty Bomb on Steam recently, and I am really enjoying it. It’s great to have another competitive, team based shooter in my library besides just CSGO and Arma. The nostalgic throwback vibes of Quake and Unreal Tournament are great, and all in all, really loving what I’m playing.

Just today, after doing a bunch of challenges and case openings, I traded up to a gold Proxy loadout card (double smg; so good =D). I love how all the skins so far look and change my gun camos and such, but I found it odd that my gloves remained the same default drab army green and brown. I know a lot of people really like showing off their cool skin as they get shot at, and I do as well, but I would also like to have those cool skins reflected on my guns/hands as well. I love FPS games that let me pick cool gloves, since I have to stare at my hands 99% of the time anyway.

Now I haven’t played many of the classes yet, mainly just Proxy, Skyhammer, and Aura, so maybe other characters gloves do change, but I haven’t seen it; correct me if I am wrong, however. I am very interested in what you guys think; I know I’m probably in the minority on this sort of thing, but still felt this was worth posting.

Thanks for your time.

I don’t know if you noticed but the gloves actually reflect your merc’s “class”: digital camo on the field ops, work gloves on the engies, etc… I’m not sure how useful this feature is, but it might be why the gloves are not being reskined.

However, I don’t see why your sleeves are not. Kind of weird to see you have orange arms as Bushwhacker when you swing that knife or reload, but when you are incappacited in 3rd person view you are wearing something else completely…
