Skin Paintshop?

(MercifuL) #1

What do you think? Wouldn’t it be great to have a paint shop where you can create your own merc skins.

(Faraleth) #2

Not sure how this would work, and it would take a long time to develop - using resources I would prefer to see be used else-where.

Just my opinion though, because it’s a nice idea, don’t get me wrong! c: I just think there are higher priorities right now ^.^

(MercifuL) #3

I know there are definitely higher priorities, but everyone would love to see this later on.

(Faraleth) #4

Perhaps once the game is out of beta (or, when we have all the planned features, execution and some more maps) then I would definitely say it’s a nice idea! Right now, it’s not practical, but I guess we shall seeeeeeee… :stuck_out_tongue: Who knows what the future will hold for Dirty Bomb ^.^

(XavienX) #5

Not exactly sure if the devs will allow that because no one will really care to get different cosmetics when they separate it from loadouts anymore so the devs will lose money. idk.

(BlazinFox) #6

@Faraleth MissMurder said on stream after Phantom or Sparks came out that this game will always be in beta because they’re going to keep adding things into the game. So it’s def going to be after they get the more important things into the game.

Everyone would just make their clothes all blue so enemies wouldn’t know to shoot them x)

There will be more skins, this much we do know. Whether we will be able to make our own is unlikely imo. SD would ideally want it to be purchasable I think, it makes the most sense anyway. Maybe a way to implement it would be to charge for vinyl packs and decals as part of a paid DLC, you would then gain access to the ‘paintshop’ where you can customise weapon skins and Merc skins. I personally would pay real money for this without a problem. SD have got the financial side of things almost perfect (I don’t agree on case prices) and the fact that they only really charge for cases and bundles (mercs can be bought with in game currency so are not exclusively real money only). So to charge money for more cosmetic options seems the most fair and most likely, but this is my opinion and no doubt someone will have an idea that will differ but I look forward to reading it!
