As tribes ascend is now at last going to give you the option of buying the game outright, I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts on this are, and would this be a good route for DB to take F2P & BTP.
Personally I would prefer this, with the option to buy user generated content like TF2.

Dear god no, ever since they introduced hats and the ability to let user submit their own… The performance of the game have just decreased with every patch ever since.
If there are to be loadouts, make one to three per class, and keep it that way. Less confusion for new players still a lot of room for gameplay and tactics changes. (This is very brief I know, at work so can’t go into detail on my point just yet.)
