single brush(s) cell shading??

Is it possible to restrict the cell shading to a group of brushes? if yes, can anyone point me the way? thanks. (bad english sorrz) :moo:

_celshader on a func_group entity containing the brush(es) you want cel shaded.

I thought that might work. Isn’t Cel-Shading essentially just fur, only using a shader that inverts the fur, so that you only see the black-outline?

They’re similar, but follow different code paths. Internally, they both just do clone & offset manipulations of surfaces, but the fur code fades alpha based on distance and only does a certain number of steps.

You could fake fur with the cel shader parameters, but it wouldn’t look as good.
