Simple suggestions re: playing with mates.

So i don’t want to talk about pros and cons or what i like or not like. I have a simple suggestion that would make it easier to play the way i want to, and the way i think others do too.

There has obviously been talked about that there is no party system, but i doubt that kind of functionality can be patched in. However, something that would help would be the option to switch a free play server from ‘Invite Only’ to ‘Public’. This seems like something that could be patched to me. It would mean i can start a server, invite my mates, then open it up to other players to join.

I was a bit surprised that this WASN’T in the game, and we can bitch and moan about whether it should or shouldn’t have been. But in the end it isn’t in and maybe, just maybe, if people want this adding then Splash Damage might listen.

So if you think this would be a nice feature to add, then please show your support by adding a Tapir.

Complete agreement. Really liking the game itself but there are some crazy barriers to my enjoyment going on.

Not being able to have a guaranteed game with 8 mates on the same team is a problem that many other games have solved many years ago.

Being able to change my server visibility on the fly would be welcome!

Whoever’s idea it was to ditch a party system (that features in every other game) needs a slap to the chops. It was clearly a concious decision, and one I have a hard time understanding.

I imagine the thought went down like this: ‘Best selling, record breaking multiplayer games have this feature to make it easy for people to play multiplayer, lets not put that in our multiplayer game…’

The lack of Tapirs in relation to views is disappointing. We could have had 80 or so by now.

We could have a candle of Tapirs. (that’s the collective name for a group of them don’t you know).

I have no idea, just saw it jogging away below my edit post box and thought ‘why not!’.

Party system needs to be added.

If they can’t patch it in then add it as a free game add on.

I do support having the ability to open private matches until they can get a party system implemented.

Seems like a reasonable adjustment that would fix a lot of issues.

Then get with the program and throw you Tapir into the mix. :wink:
