Let’s see you argue this, Brink Defense Force.

GOOD game for me. Still has the potential to be a GREAT game just needs some work.
I notice that more people are playing and enjoying the game. Its the nature of the beast.
Container City needs to be completely redesigned. How’s that for good game design: a spawn trap! Smart!

Troll strikes again, with mostly emotion-driven, subjective rage-like rants.
Game is good. But it could be awesome, and it was sold as awesome. There is the thing, why there is some frustration… Over-marketing strikes again, but it’s the thing nowadays.
Look at movies : trailers often sell a movie well, but a lot are in fact very mediocre in the end (just got back from Pirates of Carribean 3… rather boring movie)
A third of the marketing money, they could have put on development and testing instead. And now the reap the result of this bad choice.
Still, even if it is not as awesome as sold, it is still quite good. And it will get better.
Am I the only one that finds even just simply running around as bad? Just straight up running on flat ground feels really unsmooth and choppy to me. Not to mention that the parkour is even worse
You and others just aren’t getting it yet are you…
Regardless if the game is riddled with bugs, glitches, poor graphics, control and balance issues and anything else, if people have fun playing it, they are going to continue to play it, an no amount of majority rule, poor reviews, graphs, pie charts and statistics will ever change that.
It’s a niche title that tries to not be a niche title, completely selling it to the wrong crowd while alienating the actual niche.
I just went to metacritic, and for some reason you left out the top 24 critic PC reviews that were favorable. And lots of the negative reviews base it on technical issues, which now are solved for the most part and so irrelevant, or lack of proper SP, which is completely irrelevant for an MP game. What is left of legitimate criticism boils down to “it is not CoD”, which is fair - if this is where your preferences are, then this is not for you.
I personally believe that Brink is not a mainstream title. Only relatively mindless gameplay that don’t require much teamwork can achieve that. Lots of players got attracted to Brink for its visual style and parkour and classbased gameplay, and then found out it wasn’t very rewarding for lone wolves. And it made them leave (and a few are so bitter they have to whine on forums about having to go back to looking like just another soldier or mujahedin if they want their boom headshot gunplay).

I’ve pointed out the problems with the game. You don’t like it you can always find another forum. Who are you to dictate to me what I can or can’t say? The game’s broken. If you want to play it, be my guest. If you want to tell me I’m not entitled to express the demonstrable objective mess this game is in then you know what you can do boy.
The parkour feels absolutely great, I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Couldn’t have put it better. I don’t need a pie chart to tell me if I should be having fun, although I do like pie with whip cream especially apple.
I wouldn’t pay too much attention to him, or the other banned ‘users’… cos well there aren’t others, it was 1 person creating multiple accounts to spread the hate. I’d say you could remove a couple of votes from the No section of the poll there.
OK, I’ll take the bait at least a little bit
Whilst I appreciate your time spent playing brink, and the not-so-great Metacritic score… Why did you go and make an image that deliberately makes the situation look worse than it is? Given an average of 68 - albeit not a great average - that means you have a fair few reviews scoring > 70% or 7/10. Why then, are all the reviews you listed on the left 50% or under? You can’t make an average of nearly 70% with reviews only < 50% - therefore you’ve been very selective with the reviews you put there
Taking the nasty ATI problems into account, and also some of the genuine complaints people have - 68% really isn’t that bad. I’d personally rate Brink around 7 myself, and with fixes/tweaks that will easily be 8 or 8.5
I’m gutted Brink has been disappointing for so many on release - including me - and I hope SD get it sorted soon. But still - the situation really isn’t as bad as you’re making out here
Yikes. It is not fun when people do that and create multiple accounts to cause trouble if that is the case!
lol what a loser, creating multiple accounts to attempt to troll haha
Indeed, it is pretty sad that people will go to such lengths to disrupt others enjoyment. Luckily we have people like eagle eye’d Herander on the lookout
Compared to the rest, in my eyes it’s good (not awesome, though)
Compared to what was expected after ET:QW, it’s bad
Voted Good, because the amount of bad games around is overwhelming
For myself the game is pretty bad but I’m on here for two reasons
1: I feel ripped off(the game was a £40. Beta)
2: I’m still holding out for a good game and I check on here for the vague hope of it getting better
Brink should have been so much more.
It’s just such a huge disappointment I just want SD to say. " we just found out that we only put 1/2 of the content onto your Disc sorry about that the second half will be out…"
I want the game to be so much better …is that so wrong?
