o iv’e been playing for a couple of days now and got kinda hooked to this game.
Kind of an issue is i already used my first 30K on getting vassil, and now when im looking at the merc starter pack it seems pretty good value, I am demotivated to get it though because it includes vassil as well, so i kinda threw the first pretty easily acquired 30K to the drain. My question is kinda obligated - is there in form of formal compensation for such a situation, since the pack seems like pretty good value if i had not gotten vassil already, since i have, i am reluctant to spend the 20$
silly question regarding the starter merc pack

You won’t get any compensation or reduced price for already owning one of the mercs, sadly.
However there is a new merc pack on the way. Don’t rely on the price staying the same though. Nobody knows what is in it yet.

He will get that all money he spend on 30k mercs from that pack,if he buys it.
Runeforce, you won’t get any reduced price etc. by owning 1 character from SMP.
“I know, but you should.”- Give a simple reason made by you about it.
I made the mistake of buying a few Mercs before I realised there was a “Merc Pack”. It sucks but wadayado.

The problem I have with this is that I feel the game is worth roughly $30-$40 if it was not a free to play game.
If I buy this and still have to spend A TON of time and energy unlocking characters as the game gets developed further, I’ll feel as if I got kinda ripped off. On the flip side, if this were a regular paid game, then it wouldn’t get updates so far into the future and the purchase of the game would devalue as time goes on. As a free to play game, future updates will happen and my purchase doesn’t devalue, it stays fixed.
Still, I’m kinda on the fence about it. I wish they would just release a pack similar to Smite where you get all current and future characters and in this case their loadouts. Even if that pack were $100, I’d buy it.
But being able to buy every single merc and loadout from the beginning is going to be quite unfair for the others who start with almost nothing

Well let me put it to you like this. If you enjoy the game, there isn’t any real reason not to get the starter pack, besides not having the money. If you really enjoy the game, you will play enough to earn the mercs easily enough without it feeling like work. I have earned roughly 40,000 credits since the current mission system was implemented and I don’t even want any of the mercs I currently don’t own(Kira, Rhino, Nader).
Any reason you decide to buy or not buy the pack is up to you, but personally I think that it is a good deal. I see myself playing DB for a long time though, but that is just me.
I disagree - as long as there’s nothing you can buy that you isn’t also available through in-game credits, the only advantage is that you get it earlier if you’re willing to put down some cash for it.
If I’ve misunderstood, my apologies - as far as I know there’s nothing you can currently buy that’s gameplay affecting that you can’t also get via credits (unlike another Nexon FPS I have some experience with that is blatantly P2W
)

This was actually a huge demand from the devs to avoid any P2W scenario. They wanted all gameplay affecting items to be purchasable with ingame currency.

-Except the elite cases, which is totally okay in my book. If people could buy elite cases with the in game currency, it would be nice but they’d be like 1 million each which would be ridiculous. I’ve actually heard people complain about not being able to buy elite cases with the in game currency which just bogs my mind. I feel that if people want to pay extra money to get better cards to better their gameplay experience, go for it!
The game being P2W, though? Not at all in my eyes. As long as the DB devs keep the current system with the in game currency and how easy it is to earn I’m fine with what I have.
