And for the other distances of combat? Just because there is a way to counter this at close range does not mean it is balanced in the least.

To me the biggest issue here is Combat Intuition. I tried playing as an operative using some of the strategies that have been posted in here on other topics, including spotting behind enemy lines. Without fail, every time I used homing beacon on an enemy (while disguised), he would turn around and shoot me in the face. Combat Intuition seems to invalidate a number of techniques, and I think it’s really overpowered.

The flip side of that is that with a scope you can sometimes trick enemies into shooting each other provided friendly fire is on.
