Sign-in error :( anyone else experiencing this?

I could sign in this morning but not at the moment. Any suggestions?
I’ve checked the servers and they seem to be up.

I would rather have SD:
#1) Enjoy their weekend
#2) Put more focus on the game and not these cups

This game is going to change soooo much what is the point of having a cup? Oh congratz you were the champ of Closed Beta Patch 21321v…

Can people just chill and wait until at least open beta for cups? 3 fails in a row and I dont blame SD one bit. They are trying to get this game rolled out with what looks like a very tight timeline for the up and coming months. Let them work.

I’m all for letting them work, but these CUPS are strongly connected to any esports future DB might have. They also create hype among the community that the devs&game itself won’t be able to generate. Finally, some of the balance issues can be highlighted better than random forumees and echo data (fragger’s nades anyone?)

How are they strongly tied? Some rando’s starting a cup. There’s no major players here; both that physically play the game nor sponsors.

I don’t know how important it is to have the test cup…but I want to want to watched organized play where teams have practiced together a bit. I don’t care if there are sponsors or not.

and yet the cup that was hardly as marketed as the previous attempt, got 3x more viewers than any Dev/Nexon stream I’ve ever seen, even though those had key giveaways, merc starter packs; etc.

Hype has to get out through the players as well, and if you’re hyping the game to be the new esports, you better have some CUPS TO SHOW.

Great games today, and good shoutcasters! Game mode isn’t really viewable though (it wasn’t in ET either, only comp watched others’ comp, never saw a layman get excited about ET cups), either because of the constant respawns (so frags are hardly exciting) or because of the lack of variety (2 fraggers + 2 sawbonez)
