Sign in connection timeout

I seem to be unable to sign in to the game, when I launch it.
It sits at signing in for a bit, then brings up an error saying that it was unable to connect. error:timeout.
I’ve tried relogging into steam, verifying game files, disabling firewall, and none of it has done anything.
halp pls?

I have the same problem currently, going to try running it from my laptop and seeing if I get the same problem

Update: Same problem with laptop too, sign in never completes and I have to exit

the issue seemed to have just randomly fixed itself for me

check firewall settings if you’re unable to sign in

I had this yesterday and now have validation / authentication problem today. Any fix? Where to look in the firewall settings? I allowed to run on private netwroks but anything else? The game says to look at SSL validation in firewall. Where is that?

I tried restarting my router, which appeared to fix it.
Anyone else who’s getting the issue, try that.
