Not always. It does it sometimes if you shuffle when there is low time left.
A team of really good players still has a chance to lose to a team of players that are worse than them because they only have 5 minutes to destroy both objectives on Underground and stuff like that.
But thatâs just why I think itâs happening, it might just be a bug or something idk

A known edge case - when the teams are equal according to the balancing algorithm then the teams are swapped.

Was just about to write the same but you beat me to it.
This wasnt for my memory always the case either, if algorhytm did find the teams already the best match it coud create with current people, it simply didnt move anyone. I could remember wrong though.
I wouldnt be surprised if this âswap teamsâ was even result of imbeciles calling useless shuffles whining about above mentioned behaviour, implemented intentionally as an answer to their cries :'D

I wouldnât be surprised if it was a 50/50 chance to either swap teams or do nothing.
I had at least two games where everyone jumped aboard the PgUp train and after the first actual shuffle the teams just swapped places a few times

im sorry the system is messed up. we were being spawn camped so we shuffled and it swapped the teams only for us to have to survive the rest of the game being destroyed. fix you f*cking game sd! i quit this game coz of this

Typically the shuffle switches more than half the players across teams, which imho is redundant and can look pretty close to a full team swap. Is there any reason for it to swap more than half the players? Doesnât make much sense to me.
