Show AMMO CRATES on the MINIMAP!!!!

(RedJets) #21

Ammo should definitely be on the mini map. If you play a merc like Bushwacker or Fragger you will understand. You start off with only 2 mags and it’s gone before you know it and often you end up resorting to secondary weapon which is usually very undesirable.

Maby a turn on and turn of button?

Or they refuse to drop ammo
After quite a many moon cycles of thinking and agonizingly suffering from the said issue, I have finally conquered this problem once and for all! The amount of ammo packs is blocking the sun once you announce the server both through VOIP (bonus points for Gandalf or any other wizard impersonation) and text chat, that any Skyhammer, Kira and Arty have secret ability of an insane magic cast being able to kill every single person on the map abide themselves, leaving them rule as the absolute MVP until next round or respawn, by pressing E when a teammate is nearby (often reminder of said “E” being the fancy button next to “W” they might use for moving forward is helpful!)

On the topic though Minimap should be configurable in multiple ways, different icons being one of them. MG nests and secondaries would also be rather neat, even when once you learn the maps such features become quite useless. Call it a gentle introduction for the new padawans.

Agreed, i still fail to remember the new position of the ammo on almost all maps. It’s really annoying to run around because you can’t find any and no one in your team have the basic brain power to drop the ammo packs.

Yea learning maps is what’s required to master tactics and typical player movements. But showing ammo crates and MG nests, which are blatantly obvious once you see them, is not apart of that mastery. Rather, it’s more helpful to new players to associate where they are, veteran players to learn where they might have moved them, and for every player to familiarize themselves with new maps they come out with. Dome is a lot of fun but can be crazy confusing at times, especially the first 5 times you play it.

All these tweaks to minimap however would require not only that, but pretty much all of the HUD, be customizable so that elements can be moved around easily, preferably in-game even. At least they would make lot more sense, that would be in my opinion better thing to start with.

Like come on at the moment to see all that info convieniently without spinning your head around like a carousel requires the player to have medically proven strabismus in their eye(s).

Showing ammo boxes on the map would cater to casuals, which I hate.

Ammo bins on the minimap… are you serious

Honestly… the objectives are marked with big yellow blobs on your screen already - something I am not a fan of, but hey - whatever right?

The fact that the offense can see exactly when C4 is being defused, or another yellow blob on their screen showing where the EV-Ammo has been dropped even when not in line of sight — both are incredibly catering to casual players.

The game already has a boatload of garbage that helps casual players, but also detracts from strategic game play once maps are learned.

There is absolutely no reason that I should be able to see C4 being defused on Terminal when I am across the map, no reason.

There is absolutely no reason that I should be able to see where the EV-Ammo is on the ground when I myself am behind walls and cars etc.

Instead of investing time in creating a forum thread about ‘I can not remember where the Ammo bins are.’ - do us a favor and put some time into learning the game and maps.

I wish I could turn off the mini map. Players shooting don’t show up on it, only spotted players do. I’ve only looked at my minimap about 10 times in my entire DB career.

Wait what? There was a minimap!

There are a higher priority things right now, but this is what I’d like to see in the future! I’m still confused where are those ammo crates
