Should we strip as much RNG out of the game as possible?

I have spent upto 1500$ on a single MMO game in the past… And you know much i spent on DB ? Nothing…Why? Because i am not gona gamble of any crap…I would spent if i was 100% sure i would be satisfied with what i am getting !

Could be worse… it could be warframe.

I get where they are coming from… I think I am grateful that if I trade in a set of cards I can at least choose what merc I’m rolling for.

With that being said, I think they have a good balance of the credits and the RNG. If you are hoping for a specific layout, even though it seems like a huge grind, at least you see your progress towards buying a particular card using pure credits. If you don’t want to wait you pay, if you don’t want to do either you pray.
I can’t enjoy the gunplay when my aim is being thrown all over the place by aimpunch.
Also the increasing of spread on guns is a shitty way to balance, in most cases anyway.
Free Phoenixes = Hochfirs everywhere throwing my aim into outer space. Aimpunch pls go.

Am I the only one that doesn’t think the aim punch is that bad at all? Maybe I’m just not remembering it right but I don’t remember having a very difficult time hitting when getting shot.

I’d like to see $7 for a specific silver and $15 for a specific gold (loadout and skin). Keep cases around so that whales can gamble for cobalts, but let everyone else get specific skins for a semi-reasonable price.

The rng upgrade system is honestly far more reasonable than most games – how many other f2p games let you buy all standard cosmetics with in game currency? If you don’t care about cosmetics, you can avoid the system entirely by buying specific bronze loadouts directly, or you can dip into the system if you think it will save you credits.

A lot of f2p titles have even more rng, but they also have community market support. So you can buy weapons, skins, etc… on the market for a cheaper price too.

It´s really hard to say what’s the most profitable way for a game to take. I played games with worse RNG and I had friends who spent hundreds of dollars a week. They were super frustrated not getting the units they wanted, but they still kept paying up. Gambling makes money for sure. It generates a frustrated and unhappy playerbase, but it generates good income.
My opinion is that numbers need to be tweaked a lot. The chance to draw a specific cobolt card out of an elite case is insanely low.

Some quick calculations:
17 mercs * 9 loadouts = 153 different loadouts.
5% chance to draw a cobolt card out of an elite case.
0,03% chance to draw the card you want out of an elite case.
11,5k € to get the cobalt card you want out of an elite case (not counting in statistical variations).

A bit hefty I think

trade in into specific cards, trade up can keep its rng… kk thx.
