Should we have separate high quality materials settings?

(Sterling) #1

It’s pretty frustrating to use HQ materials to make my fragment Nader’s weapons look WICKED SICK, DUDE, but since my computer can’t handle her skin, she turns into Shrek and starts yelling “get out of mein kampf”. I’m wondering how many people experience such a dilemma.

e: duh, I forgot to put the whole idea of the thing.

I would like to point out that weapons and characters should have separate HQ material settings.

I think it may be possible, I remember another post I think said there were some separate settings

I don’t have a problem running everything maxed, but I run mostly low settings bar from textures/shadows anyway to ensure more fps. If it helps people with more potato setups than actual gaming rigs then why the hell not!!

Where is the don’t care button

Seperate on characters, weapons, and world textures.

Pleasepleasepleaseplease. I want cobalts shiny, not just plain blue or black.

I’m actually pretty upset about the Adolf Hitler<>Nader reference.

Also aren’t there already 2 different things? HighQualityMaterials and HighQualityCharacters?

Enabling HQ materials always enabled both weapons and characters to me. I might need to check it on the config file. Brb.

e: looking for “highquality”, “highqualitycharacters”, “characters” and “character” didn’t show me anything regarding high quality materials on characters.
