From the information I got from the wikis the Timik and the M4 are now very similar. However, I liked the Timik before the changes, not saying the changes was the worst decision, but I would like to have some diversity in my weapon loadout. What do you guys think?

It should not be changed back. It should be reworked.
What it has going on for it is a higher RPM but that means jack when none of your bullets hit. The accuracy and recoil buffs helped solve that problem a bit but the M4 will always be more reliable because of it’s laser accuracy.
I think they should increase the RPM to make it have a greater DPS or increase the damage and lower the RPM and accuracy to make it function similarly to other AK-47s as well as making it a viable alternative to the M4

Which changes are you talking about. Recently it has hat its recoil and spread reduced and that’s about it.

It deserves more firepower than M4 with previous recoil and spread.
Timik is definitely good gun, but has absolutely none of specific feature.
SD should’ve let the recoil and buff it’s firepower like buffing the damage to 15~17, but with lower fire rate or something.
+3 15RPM, +3 DPS, 0.1 sec faster reload, and still unstable compared to M4.

I have a theory that is probably close to the truth that SD makes a few of the guns so similar because they want people to switch mercs but still have a somewhat familiar gun to work with. For example, if you play Fragger but want to play Thunder you have a version of those types of gun regardless of the merc you choose. They have a 3 guns per merc limit so this kind of makes sense.
That’s the only logical reason why I can think the Timik was designed to be a slightly different version of the m4 (or vice versa)…which can also be said about other guns. They could very easily make the Timik and the M4 incredibly different or the BR16 and the Stark incredibly different. But they haven’t and I think that’s the reason. Familiarity when changing mercs makes a person more apt to try/buy them potentially.

Until they have the Timik on more cards I’d like it to stay where it is, after they allow everyone who can use the M4 to use the Timik and vice versa, then from there they can change the numbers around.
But even then I’d say the Timik should stay as is, and the M4 be reworked. I feel like that should be the faster firing but less damaging weapon of the two.

Personally, I would like the Timik to be a bit higher DMG, but a bit slower RPM.

i prefer the timik to the m4 as i have no problem with the recoil and think the higher damage per shot makes it superior, so its fine as is imo

The weapons spread is what makes it inferior to the m4. Whilst theorteically it has slightly higher dps, the m4 at most ranges will still out dps the timik because of its superior accuracy.
