Should Nader's Martyrdom be canceled by death?

I’m reporting this secondhand, since someone on the Steam forums asked about it and I actually don’t know if it’s supposed to be a bug or intended.

When you martyrdom as Nader, you don’t get the kill if they finish you off because the grenade MAGICALLY VANISHES…
ALSO, if you use the grenade launcher and fire ANY amount of grenades, the grenades will teleport to your body if the enemy kills you without finishing you off, killing you with your own grenades before you can martyrdom.

No offence, but it seems really stupid that even though the martyrdom drops and is ready to blow, you will never get the kill if they finish you off - YET - you can have mines, turrets, health stations, ammo and health packs, artillery, etc. out on the field after you die with any of those mercs…

It does strike me as odd that Nader’s death grenade would be destroyed upon Nader’s actual death, while the other things persist. It sounds like a bug. which is why I’m posting it here.

Have to admit, it seems like a bug considering that its a live grenade instantly disappearing, one could just have it “replaced” with a possible explanation that it’s really just her detonating the cylanders strapped to her back and lampshade that killing her deactivates the bombs, an actual bug I see is that firing grenades from her grenade launcher seem to teleport to her if she’s been downed/incapacitated or killed, with the game mistaking them for her martyrdom grenade, which is bad since you can shoot, be incapacitated, and then suicide oneself with the fired grenades taking points off, and maybe lose the damage/power from the actual marytrdom bomb, maybe if it martyrdom was made to drop a grenade, along with all those stored in the grenade launcher ability was a thing, it’d be a tad more powerful.

As a frequent Nader player, I’ve questioned the Martyrdom ability. Sometimes I’ve had cases where I got the sound of the explotion and the visual effect of it, but no damage was given to nearby players. Also every time they kill you once you triggered Martyrdom, it seems to be canceled. And the cancel of it seems rather stupid and lacking logic considering she activates a grenade. Once active, it should explode, right?

Perhaps it’s intended, perhaps it’s not. And if it’s intended, then I’d rather prefer some rework on it and let the nader players “cook” that grenade like Fragger for 1 second or so before it explodes no matter what.
