so in my time playing dirty bomb i see a very popular tactic i like to call the bunny hop or the more popular term the bitch jump these poor souls believe that jumping like an idiot and spraying and praying is a good idea i got plenty of mid air badges due to these poor souls that believe them selves to be rabbits. i wanted to know what the community thinks of these bunny jumpers, its certainly annoying to get killed by one specially when you pump these fools full of lead and they survive with 5 hp due to this tactic what do you guys think ?
Should jumping have an accuracy penalty ?
they already have an accuracy penalty. In many cases its pretty punishing to go for wall spam.
They have an accuracy penalty as long as they’re hip firing. If someone is good enough to be able to kill you while aiming down their sights and jumping around, they deserve that kill.
Along with the accuracy penalty they get, a person jumping commits to a fixed trajectory allowing for some easy tracking
I would seriously suggest using the search function before creating a new thread.
You will find several existing threads you can read to help make your thread better and maybe get a view of what many people on here may think already.
The hopping around idiots is no problem. They make themselves really easy to hit. And the tactic isn’t nearly as effective as strafing.
The guys that actually know what they’re doing are the pain. The ones that jump backwards over a wall why shooting you in the head with surgical precision. Those guys are a-holes.
But, yes, there should be an accuracy penalty to jumping.
There is an accuracy penalty to jumping. And as you’ve stated they are easy to kill. I don’t see why this was made into a thread. Is it annoying to die to somebody who has the jump button tied to their fire button? A bit. Is it a big deal? Nope.
Why is it a bad thing to begin with? Is 3d movenment only for hipsters, that don’t deserve to play this game? Knowing when and how to use walls, containers and your jump button to get a kill is equally skillful.
I wouldn’t mind jumping removing ADS. It’s annoying when people jump over small ledges and instantly headshot you without being able to react.
Can’t stand bunny hoppers. So I’d be for an additional penalty to accuracy on top of what is already there.
I’d argue it’s a very effective technique as it makes it all the more difficult to aim at the hoppers head.
The more I play the game the more important I find it is to always be aiming at your targets heed in hopes of a quicker TTK (Time to Kill). It goes against everything I’ve been taught in real world shooting where you always aim for the centre of mass, so it’s hard for me sometimes to switch to aiming for the head.
I don’t get why so much people want to punish so much movement in combat. One guy mashing his space button is not that hard to gun down because he’s very predictable (especially since your merc stops one he jumped two times in a row, without springy), and exploiting the movement system to evade bullets and shoot dead someone back is part of the whole gameplay of DB.

Yeah, that’s what sucks about this game. All of the sim players and CoD/BF players (which those are arcade shooters so not realistic at all) are all taught to aim at the balls pretty much and 2-4 shots at a high RoF and they are dead. It’s a “who sees who first” style of gaming. DB is not that at all. Somebody might come up behind you but you’ll have some time to potentially kill them first unless they are very good at hitting your head.
But no, I don’t want to see any additional penalties from what is already in the game. There is already quite a bit of penalty in the game and if somebody is hopping you are still going to be putting more into them than they are to you even with lucky headshots. Making the game more like CoD or more like a Sim shooter is exactly what DB shouldn’t be. It’s great because it’s different than those games.
no problems with “bunny hoppers” seeing as they dont give additional velocity when they are moving and they commit to 1 direction so headshot tracking is stupidly easy compared to a strafing proxy/aura… as for shooting over walls with wall jump it is easily avoidable if u know where the spots are…
