Should In-Game Team Switching stay in Dirty Bomb?

(AirborneAsian) #21

Oh. Ok then. Then why’d you vote yes if you could of voted for ‘other,’ if you liked the QL system better.

(Ghosthree3) #22

Because I think it should stay in the game? Autobalancing is completely unrelated to team switching.

QL may stop people switching to the winning team on x V x+1, but it still lets you switch.

(AirborneAsian) #23

Well what sucks about switching teams mid-game is that you can switch even if the enemy team has more players than you.

(Ghosthree3) #24

No you can’t. I’ve tried, because I wanted to join a friend. You can only swap if they have less.

(AirborneAsian) #25

No. I tried it myself. 2 people in my team raged quit, leaving a 3 people difference between me and the team. I switched to see if it worked, and it did.

(Ghosthree3) #26

Nope, just tested it again.

(Fiktio) #27

When team switching is possible, I’m able to balance the game and join to the team that has less players. As long as that option is available, I can try to do it manually without needing to have a vote first about shuffle based on skill.

P.S. I’ve never been able to join to the team that has more players than the other team.
Unless something happened in these 2 days I haven’t been playing the game, it’s not possible to join to the team that has more players in compared to the opponent team.
Correct me if something really changed.

(MTLMortis) #28

I do it all the time if my side outnumbers the other side. I’m not being altruistic, it’s because if you rofl-stomp your opponent your credit reward and xps are absolutely horrible. Better to slug it out over 10 to 15 minutes.

(Edzer) #29

But people can switch if their team is losing or outnumbered. Most people won’t change sides if the enemy team is outnumbered. They just like continuing their way to victory. It’s as bad as team shuffling.

Plus it’s really rare for someone to help the ‘outnumbered’ team.[/quote]

Like I said, it rarely happens but the possibility to swap teams when a team is outnumbered should always be there.

(Aazhyd) #30

Autobalance should do that. Not players.

(triteTongs) #31

I switch teams when it’s badly outnumbered. But it honestly doesn’t matter. As soon as I start playing on the outnumbered team, the other team starts quitting and now you just became the stacked team.

There was actually one match where I had to switch teams at least 5 times.

I LITERALLY planted the bomb, switched teams, then diffused my own bomb. Twice.

When you are only reason why the skirmish line gets pushed back and forth… no amount of autobalance or team switch can save the game.

In fact, this is exactly why I’d be AGAINST auto-balance because of crap like that.

(Jurmabones) #32

Autobalance should do that. Not players.

Until they add being able to join pubs as a party, no. Never. Unless autobalance NEVER separates Steam friends or whatever.
