Should I buy Nader or Rhino?

Nader is the better choice overall. She’s solid all around if you remember that her grenade launcher is NOT her primary kill option but instead a great chip/herding option to then mow people down with the Crotzni. Then there is always the hilarity of people forgetting about martyrdom.[/quote]

Yeah I know, I hate when people only use a classes specialty weapon. As I’ve been playing nader, I only use the grenade launcher for room clearing, and long range lob shots when flanked

If you haven’t decided yet, I’d put my money on Nader

I don’t care what you say I should play.

I am just asking personal experience and different techniques offered by both mercs so I can make a more financially smart decision.

Doing research both on your own and looking at what others have to say about things is how you make an informed decision. I might come to one conclusion based off what I’ve seen but miss out on a key fact that would make me regret my purchase when that could have been avoided by having spoken to or read others thoughts. This is not rocket surgery B)

(Reddeadcap) #27

Agree, His minigun needs to have a bit more range, or he needs to have some more mobility when it’s revved up (Maybe add these as Augments similar to Nitro and Ice Cold?), 200 health is a lot no doubt about but he’s easy to take down if not reliant on someone to heal him constantly, Fragger is suggested to have a medic near him but his higher mobility, range and indirect damage make him less so.

(RyePanda) #28

Personally, I’m getting Rhino next because I want to be able to dominate in close quarters. Though Nader, or Proxy, is next.

(RuleofBooKz) #29

Thanks Amerika yeah research is good. on your own. asking others is just wankery. Fluffing up the purchase decision. Ok a lil harsh maybe its good for an ol chin wag i guess. Pass the time but would u base your purchasing decisions of what a guy down the pub said was good?> lol nope

try b4 u buy. Everything else is just peoples opinion. life advice

50 people might tell u that u need this thing. They will tell u its the best and everything else is bad. but when u actually try the thing its not for u. When ur actually playing the merc its a lot different to talking about the merc. This is why we have the trial weeks for merc

Again to go macro: the worst thing in the world when making a purchase decision is listen to people on forums on the internet - bias, noobs, armchair experts who really have no clue = large chance of buyers remorse. The ratio of good advice to really really bad advice is off the charts

that was my point. But since we are here lets look at the guys OP and his purchasing criteria:

I want a merc who is the most fun/useful

Well that means nothing. fun? useful? None and all are fun and none and all are useful. it means nothing. Any opinion given here just doesnt matter

Someone please share their opinion on which merc to get, and why. I like to play defense a lot, but I would also like to be able to push up

So u want to play defense and attack at the same time. Mhmm. Ive had ppl in game yell at me for playing proxy on front line pushing 1st as they were sure. Dead set sure. that proxy was only to be a rear support merc well back from the action. So again OP issaying nothing.

The OP hasn’t articulated a desire that sits straight with himself yet. Not a good sign. First the OP needs to understand the game and what they want out of it. Ive a hunch they are going to learn that but not chin wagging on a forum but by actual hours spent in game learning the game. Maybe then he should come back and be better able to filter buying advice? Not good.

And thats MY advice on what merc you should buy

I read amazon reviews to find known issues with items before I purchase. I guess I’m a ‘wanker’ in your opinion.

Also, you’ve made mention many times about how you play @RuleofBooKz …could you please post some videos of you playing? I want to see this super high sensitivity with high twitch reaction times in action that you’ve mentioned countless times with your innovative proxy strats.

(RuleofBooKz) #31

for a mod u are a little aggressive even combative. not sure thats really called for. I can be a bit of a brat. sure. im just here to be part of the community contributing an opinion tho. as a mod u have a higher level of scrutiny and responsibility one might imagine. Sort of goes without saying and I could be wrong.

im pretty certain the whole human race now googles what ever it is they want to purchase, if its a big ticket item or important purchase, before they buy it. just to have a little look see. Its one tool in the tool box of making a good decision but one wouldnt base the decision off that.

Still doesnt counter what i said that the only way to really know is to try it 1st

the main issue isn’t a question “should i buy x” being asked its that the one asking the question doesnt know themselves anything on the subject. What was asked and how it was asked was a mess.

That is why i asked the questions i did. it was a two line post and if u look past the attitude u will see its got questions in it that are relevant. after all we are discussing it now.

make ur enemies your friends so u can learn what it is they teach - heard that in a song yesterday

EDIT - forgot ur request for some vods. im not a streamer. nor a youtube poster or content creator. Why would i have vods of myself playing? id be happy to play with or against u on an oz server any time u like tho and check out my game play first hand.

Ey, I already made my decision, so why are you even still trying to argue? It’s just childish at this point and makes you look like a smartass fool.

You also claimed in your next post that I based this thread off my decision, but you don’t even know lol, I’ve already tried both of them out before I made this thread, and I was torn between the two, because I really enjoyed them both. I was just wondering what other people experienced in the long run.

(RuleofBooKz) #33

so u played them both and like them both - get both. that was hard

Yeah let me just spawn 50k more credits, cause that is how things work around here. How are you not marked a troll, or better yet banned?

We still do not know,if he is not playing often and long or not.

For author:If you like positional(and tanky) defense a lot, pick Rhino. If that one is not what

you looking for,pick Nader.
