Should Dirty Bomb be taken out of its beta status after the next update?
Ummm…why…personally I would like it to stay in Beta for a much longer time so there’s more flexibility to add more stuff and fix bugs and such before the release like what Warframe’s doing.
Not voting because the answers mean ass. Not, “No, this isn’t important”, more like “No, because it isn’t ready”.
We have a sh*tton of bugs, everyone complains about balance, we’re missing 3 conceptualised mercs, godawful optimisation, a borked anti-cheat system, and AFAIK there’s no 64-bit version. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
You can’t just slap “v1.0 Full Release” on something so easily either, however, I’m sure SD knows what to do with their development cycle - have faith, it’ll happen soon™er or later.
I don’t see any point in doing that. I wouldn’t make some massive “we’re out of beta” announcement until DB gets a few more maps, mercs, perhaps another gamemode, and a significant overhaul of the loadout card system and team balance.
I don’t see any reason why it should be going to full release already myself. Plenty more needs doing before I would call it a finished product. If they just pick an arbitrary day to do a v1.0 of the game then what was the point of Beta in the first place? I am sure SD has their own minimum requirements before they do a launch and they want the game to be in as good a state as possible when that time comes to attract and keep a new crowd of users. For being in Beta this game actually has quite a good playerbase. Most similar games drop off quite quickly and they end up coming out of a beta early to try and retain as much of that as possible.
So no, I don’t see any reason for the game to come out of beta until SD & Nexon agree that it is ready for it.
Also, please give us your reasoning why you think it should or shouldn’t be released. You make a poll but don’t answer it yourself or provide any of your own reasoning for what you think should happen. So talk. Tell us something about why you thought this poll was necessary, because to me it looks like it wasn’t and still isn’t.
This poll has no explanation and makes little sense now that I take a second look at it. Closing.
Also, as a side note. If you think that a game that has a “store” means it’s no longer in beta you have literally zero idea how the world of software development works. I know people use that as some kind of weird excuse or a way to justify their sense of entitlement but all it points out is their ignorance of how things work.
