Should DB switch to UE4 engine?

Assuming porting DB from UE3 to UE4 was possible, would there be any benefit?

Since we all got this talk, on how UE3 has limitations and optimization issues. And how SD also works on Gears Of War 4, they seem to have some experience with UE4.

Any chance of such occurrence to happen?

They have said that they would have to remake the game again for UE4

It’s not simple to port the game over to UE4. It’s possible but the value wouldn’t be that high. Also, DB is a competitive MP FPS that is also F2P. I’ve also got some experience with quite a few UE4 games. DB requires a much lower end PC to run well than any of those UE4 games. And that’s important in the F2P market.

There wouldn’t be a whole lot of value in switching over to UE4 when it comes to F2P gaming.

Seriously though, UT4 runs better on my machine than DB ever did.

A long time ago, they said in one of the streams that when DB was released, UE4 didn’t exist and to port it they will have to remake the entire game again so it’s not worth doing it
