Well, you know I’m OK with all of the mercs. I also have 16 years of Q3 experience and was well known for my railgun accuracy. Sparks is literally the only merc in the game I can’t consistently drop 45-60 people with during a ~14-15 minute side in DB. Like Vassili, Phantom and Rhino, there is a difference between being super annoying and being super OP. At least in regards to pubs. 5v5 is another conversation.

She just doesn’t have the HP to tank players with good aim or the weapon DPS. She is good at getting random key kills from relative safety though which isn’t the same thing as being a killing machine.

Hell, I’ll even try again this weekend and see what happens.

You’re absolutely right. But some people completely forget she’s a meric ang go play MLG Vassili with her. I had 3 Sparks in my team today. Guess what. None of them revived at all.

Why do people always look for some kind of incentive to just play good?

Also, “exceeding other teammates”, exceeding in what ?
example, you could put a good health station on def and get tons of xp, a team mate could get few key kills, be in middle to low score but make you win the match. Who did better ?

The game ask us to do few very basic things, I don’t think we need an incentive to do so.
Having the game for free and the willing to have fun is enough for me.

Or people hotdogging for XP and getting themselves killed and feeding the enemy team.

Game is lacking teamwork in a team based game enough as it is…

A lot of these ideas don’t work for mercs whose only source of xp is killing.

Wasn’t there an end of game feature in Alpha where the scoreboard said “Best Medic” and “Best Fire Support” and so on? I think recognition is better than a reward.
