Should ammo station/ammo/mepacks NOT heal enemies?

Health stations do not heal enemies, however things I mentioned in the title do heal them.

Should they disable supporting enemy? I get a feeling this is a perfect opportunity for griefers.

It really hasn’t been an issue since the game went into beta. And the ‘lore’ reason is that health stations can detect IFF tags because they are nanites. Ammo stations/packs and medpack are just first aid kits and ammo containers. Not nanites. Same reason Phoenix doesn’t heal enemies.

I feel like it is fine the way it is. The last thing I want to do is rush towards a medpack on the ground to get there and realize it is an enemies and I suddenly lost all knowledge of how to unzip a bag and use standard medical supplies because it is shaded a different color. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s fine, although annoying when the resident Proxy kills the ammo station you’re leaching from cause it’s red.

no I just think enemy med packs and ammo should not be picked up by your team they should be destroyable. or maybe they should be freebies to punish complacent healers and assault Mercs. but then you can’t get healed by enemy Aura so why the double standard?

but then again good phantoms have been kicking my ass hard on Aura from the EMP lately.

Let’s all stand on this aura’s station and drag fights out forever.

this is true. Aura is already strong unless there’s a phantom camping around the corner or a stoker flame nearby. I just feel that sawbones is a bit lacking compared to all the other medics since he has the potential of accidently healing the enemy team and there is nothing special that really separates him from other healers rather than burst healing but then phoenix can do that without the risk of teammates healing interrupted by damage or enemy team getting healed so…

ok let me restate my previous post, medic and ammo packs are fine they just need to make sawbones more interesting there is no risk and reward to his healing just risk because if a medic is going to heal you he’s gonna do it one way or another but sawbones is the only one that is potentially punished by it. And yes so is sparks but she has a zap gun which is a fun mechanic that adds to her utility making an ok trade off.

enemy sawbones though, have saved my skin so many times it’s not funny. and vise versa when I play sawbones and made the mistake as well.

you could argue “well don’t give the team med packs or leave them around” … if only in a perfect world.

Sawbonez is not meant to heal in battle. He can fight better than other medics and then retreat with his team and heal them properly in about a second. He’s fine, and one of the best healer.
What about sparks? Her medpacks can be grabbed by ennemies, she can barely heal her team, and can’t fight well. If one medic must rework, it’s more her rather than one of the best medics in the game. Almost everyone find her unbalanced. People complaining about her able to revive everyone and then she’s too OP and annoying, and other people (like me) complain she can’t fight and heal the team, she’s just good for revive in a game where every slot in a team is precious, particularly in 6v6 or 5v5. But it’s an other subject.
The fact that other team can grab your packs makes your job a bit more hard rather than drop pack everywhere when you can. It doesn’t require skill, but thinking.

Health and ammo packs are just bags, they don’t actually detect teammates and enemies, I prefer if they stay that way so everyone can pick them up and you have to think twice before throwing them on the ground. I enjoy killing an enemy Sawbonez and then taking his medpack and heal myself
Ammo stations are just a stand with ammo in it where you can simply take ammo but I don’t mind if it gets changed or no

You do realise that Sawbonez is considered to be the best medic for offense right? A good Sawbonez wouldn’t let that happen, especially at a competitive level. He’s extremely basic, but he’s also extremely efficient, has the highest health pool of all the medics, and a solid choice of weaponry. There is a reason he’s always run and the other medic spot is typically allocated to one of the other 3.

This is also pointless as Sparks’ health packs aren’t used for her team, they’re for herself. If you want to heal as Sparks you kill your ally and revive them to full instead, it’s faster and saves you your god mode packs for actual fights where you need to stay topped up.

soo… from what i read, sawbonez should get and ability to shoot his own medpack so enemies cant use it?
