Should all guns have the same headshot multiplier?

I think it’ would be interesting having a weapon balanced around a higher headshot multiplier, but not lower.

hmm, it has potential, but the game would lose consistency with weapons if one was obviously better.

guess I would be okay if one merc had a special ability/gun that had a higher hs multiplier. Other than that, the x2 is really nice consistency among guns.

I definitely feel like SMGs should do maybe, 1.85 damage on headshot, while rifles do 2.0, maybe the Dreiss and Grandeur could do 2.25. Actually the Dreiss and Grandeur maybe op if that happened.

AFAIK shotguns already have 1.5x headshot multiplier.

dmg/0.5 problem solved xd

Double head shot damage means it scales with the weapon. Similar to people with more money being taxed a higher or lower percentage. It simply doesn’t make sense to do it differently than DB is doing it now in my opinion. Nice idea though, I’ve thought about it myself a few times.

@goodDeposit ehh, your tax example is the exact opposite

@Szakalot, I don’t pay attention to politics and such, so I apologize for my misinformation.

A long time ago I made argument that the blishlok should have a higher headshot multiplier, but @Eox brought up a good point about high level playing being able to pretty much break that kind of thing.

Im not sure, but it I think at the very least it would be nice for some of the side arms. Might make the Simeon or DE .50 worth using.

The GSR does 40 damage on a body shot right? That comes to 90 damage on a headshot. Doesnt sound too terribly bad in theory, but I would have to try it to be sure.

The Dreiss I dont know. It has a higher rate of fire and higher mag cap so that might be too much.
