Shotty the Shot Assault, Link the Linking Medic, Simo the Friendly Sniper

(Reddeadcap) #1

Shotty: Shotgunner Assault

  • Appearance: Smaller than Fragger but larger than Nader, has multiple shotgun shell bandoliers, along with a backpack and a pair of shotguns dangling from his/her back.
  • Shotty would fit a middle ground between Rhino and Nader’s specials, but relies on quantity over quality when it comes to explosives, and a slower but still powerful gun that can mow down other merc’s health, carrying a large AA-12 or Saiga shotguns to deliver their deadly payload.
  • Abilities: Fragshot and BuckShot, While the first abilities let you fire off off mutiple explosives shells, reaching enemies that are farther away while the latter lets you shred enemies upclose, said shotguns wouldn’t do as much damage as say a regular one, but would fire and regenerate ammo for themselves at a fast rate.

Link: The Linking Medic

  • Appearance: A very Haggard looking medic, speaks in a very passive manner, almost as if they are bored of everything around them.
  • Link is a “middle” medic, able to a decent ammount of damage but not very mobile.
  • Ability:Link’s healing item consists of gun that fires a beam, delivier health to mercs directly, serving as a one target version of Aura healing station ability, using this ability on others also heals Link but at a slower rate.

Simo: The Friendly Sniper

  • Appearance: Wears a heavy winter coat with its hood down, has a notable bandage on his cheek, speaks is a friendly supportive manner.
  • Simo would serve as both a powerful long range recon but also offers close range spotting for their teammates.
  • Ability: drone hovering near him, when enemies are near said drone would find them, similar to Vasili’s Heart beat sensor but offering help at a closer range.

so link is pretty much the medic from tf2…?

I guess, It was an ability one could do since unreal, and many games use this way of healing, its rather practical but I’d imagine the ability would run on an overheating mechanic, similar to Rhino’s minigun, not to have the medic follow an assault, but rather heal up an injured player, somewhat like a middle ground between Sawbonez/Sparks healthpacks and Aura’s healing station.

I know that since TF2 the healing beam gun has become the go to idea, since many players would forget a medics job is to heal others, not just oneself.

I actually really like these c:

The only problem I maybe see is Simo being a little too similar to Vasili, maybe instead of his special detecting enemies, it could do something else support-ish, like destroying nearby grenades or even it being a controllable drone you can fly around and tag people in, just to add at least a little variety.

otherwise really love it omg

I was thinking it more of a Defensive spotting ability rather than Vasili’s thrown heart beat sensor, spotting enemies nearby for a more time, with a longer down time.
Imagine that while Vasili repeatedly throws his detection grenades, Simo would deploy activate a drone, or maybe place a sensor, serving as a spotting ammo/health station.
